Default 2001-2004 SLK 320 gauge faces (white) for sale

I bought these as a backup in case the 32 AMG gauges did not work...

I procured an entire gauge cluster and gingerly disassembled it, removed all needles, and separated the white gauge faces from the assembly.

Anyone who wants to do the white-face gauge mod, this is your ticket!! I did the ditry work for you and all you have to do is remove your gauge cluster per the instructions in Jody's thread (search for "Coloring gauges" thread by MMZ_Timelord) and instead of placing your OEM black overlay back on, replace it with the white one. There are no exposed Mercedes markings on these faces, so purists can rejoice!! This would look AMAZING in the roadsters with the vanilla interior. The hue of the white is very similar (eggshell/cream).

This will cause your gauges to be amber when lit up. The plastic itself is amber, so there's no "painting" that can fix it. Thankfully, the center stack switch-gear can be swapped out with those from a SLK, and you can utilize your silver button caps for a complete OEM look. Many folks hate the green anyways, so...

This is a truly unique mod, and you retain all factory function, mileage, calibration, and FSS settings. In other words, the car's electronics are none the wiser. Everything lines up beautifully.

I will ship you just the overlay in a padded envelope, as the overlay is all you need. No sense in shipping the whole cluster as it only jacks up shipping and it's one more thing to junk up the garage.

Photo attached of the exact overlay you will receive.

$100 shipped anywhere in continental US.

y'know, I'd love to have this but man I don't want to eveen think about tearing all that crap down. Kudo to you for doing that. I've always wondered why they, and I mean all of the theys didn't make that clear overlay of the cluster to be a snapout design so you could get at the guages and change bulbs etc. To me that's a no brainer in design to manufacture. Must be a reason for it though.

It's really not as bad as it looks. In the end, you end up removing about a dozen screws. It's like one big jigsaw puzzle. Move slowly, and don't rip anything out before first seeing what it's attached to. The gauge cluster is just held in with four bolts.
