The stud on the Koni shock that sticks up through the inner fender on the car has an inner stem that comes through the center of it. You put a **** on it and turn it for adjustment, remove the **** and then replace the stud cover. I have them but I have not got them on yet.
The OEM stud has a rubber stud cover which is easily visible under the hood.

in the back of the xfire you will need to cut the carpet in an x pattern to allow acess to the adj. stud on the konis. in the front its no issue. i had these on my car and they adjust rebound (ie firmness)

I'm not cutting the carpet in my car, set and forget for me.
