StopTeck 355mm BBK Front Black/Slotted Open Box
i have a set of front brakes here we ordered for a customer. they tried to put them on a slk32 with its 17" front rims and they didin't fit. one rotor and 1 caliper were taken out of the box and set up onto the car, rim was lifted up and didint clear. brakes were then put back into the box and we ordered a 332mm kit for the customer instead. the pads were never installed nor was fluid ever put into the caliper. evevrything is brand new otherwise. i will make someone a rocking deal on them, serious inquiries only please. Still under StopTech warranty thru us.
Should have known better... tisk tisk

When I was researching Stopteck's they left no doubt that 17's were a no go. Even with our stock 18's a 5 mm spacer is needed. Whoever ends up with these are going to love them.

This is arguably the best BBK designed for the R170 Slk and Crossfire. The quality of the components from the steel lines, to the lightweight calipers and slotted discs are fantastic. I am in the air because I have yet to pay for my engine still. Someone jump on these so I dont
But don't these make you drool? Or are they not worth the trouble?
sorry dont know how to shorten links

WWWAAAAYYYY overkill....with rotors and spacers you are well over $1000, not including larger wheels.
I went with Stoptechs over MB takeoffs for a couple of reasons. The main reason being having brakes designed to work perfectly with the stock master cylinder and rear brakes. I imagine the MB takeoffs work well because several members have them and like them. I punish my Stoptech's like you have no idea and the only change I would make is ..... wait for it ...... upgrade to the Trophy Kit! (Rob?)

Technically the Stoptechs are made for street cars but after their success on the track they've come out with a Race kit. Stoptech Trophy Kit. It's similar to the regular BBK except the calipers are even lighter.

the ebay calipers wont fit. the slk55 or clk63 6 pot calipers are the best for the money. i ran them with 18" rims and zero mods except trimming the dust shield. absolute bolt on. the master cylinder is the same for the slk55 and the slk32 so brake bias is perfect. i ran them at the dragon with zero fade.
having said all that the stoptechs are a great setup also and as luck has it all the stoptech parts fit the brembos!!

I have the black and like them. They hide the dirt pretty well between cleanings. I use a little a fine polish about every 6 months on them to keep the visual impact on the positive side.
