Default FS: Eurocharged High Stall Torque Converter $700 obo

Hello all,

I am debating selling my Eurocharged high stall torque converter. I have the engine out at the moment, so there is no time better than now. I have had this unit for 6 years, but only have about 5k miles on it, due to one reason or another. $700 shipped! But, if you have an offer, let me know. Would consider trades for manual swap parts.

Thanks,
Bryan Tracy

Price too steep? The best I can do is $700 shipped, I paid $1100 for it.

This is definitely not a need, but a fun to have. I will have this for sale until my engine is back in the car. So you have a few months to think about it

I'm interested in what your doing to your engine while it's out. The torque converter isn't something I need, unfortunately.

Under high boost, I am pushing coolant out the overflow. I am pretty sure that the head is flexing slightly, causing the headgaskets to unseal. Under low boost and daily driving, everything is fine, no coolant push issues.
My machinist and I have been discussing O-rings and other options. I am not exactly sure what my plan of attack is at the moment, but I will let you know when I get there. I have the utmost faith in my machine shop, as they do all the AMS GTR engines, including their 2000whp shop car engine .

I have a shop here just like yours. Unfortunately, they're accustomed to charging AMS prices for everything. Best of luck on the sale of the torque converter. So many of the heavy modders have moved on, as you know, which makes it difficult.

I sit and drink beer with these guys on Friday's, I still get pre-AMS pricing.
Mods beyond intake, exhaust, pulley and tune are difficult on most Benz platform cars. It just makes it harder that Daimler/Chrysler recycled the R170 chassis for the Crossfire. I will continue to work on this chassis though. Being unique comes with a price, but I like being different than everyone else.

I spend all my time from 4400 rpm to redline so I don't see how it would be of use to me. For you 1/4 milers, fight over it.

Doc, I will be down in Indy for work January 5th - 7th. If you feel you want to pull the trigger on this, we could probably meet up somewhere and I can drop this off to you.

Not the same units that are on MBWorld from Shardul, but this is a 3k stall.

Correction, you are right. I am an idiot. Sorry all.... 1.39 was my best in the DSM. Had some overlap in cats back then.
~edit~ I can't find slips from before the turbo kit, so I do not want to quote times I cannot prove.

I finally found my post on MBWorld when I installed the converter...definitely was AFTER the turbo. I cannot tell you what it how much it will help in our Crossfires when still supercharged. There are however, members with C32's on MBWorld that dropped a full 1/10th of a second in the 60' with the same converter. Remember, 1/10th in the 60' is 2-3/10ths on the big end.
