THE OUTTER SHINNY PART SIMPLY COMES OFF WITH THE USE OF A SPATULA AND THEN CLIPS BACK ON ONCE THE INNNER PART IS REMOVED AND REPLACED. MY INNER PART ON MY 2008 CONVERTIBLE IS BROKEN BUT MY OUTER PART APPEARS BRAND NEW- LIKE THE REST OF MY INTERIOR.
