The red section is falling out of no-garage originals after 15 years of being out in the weather. probably from water getting in and freezing and popping out the red

I was lucky enough to get this one. When you find one, press buy now. They don’t last long

That is one neat car, if it was closer I might be tempted to steal it. 😉

You should put the hood into it’s near vertical position to save wear and tear on the struts. Mine is hardly ever in the first position.

Does anyone know if the white SRT6 roadster in this thread is the 1of 3 that came from the factory or is it one that is a custom job?

I think that car started life as a limited.

Beautiful car Peter. Just wondering if you swapped in the SRT6 guage cluster?

wow, great memory. Yes I swapped the cluster. Plug and play. No programming of any kind required
it was a great time to check and change dead bulbs behind the cluster.

crappy weather here. Only been out 3 times for short spins around town.

(not like there is currently anywhere to go)

The Double din was fabricated with several bezels, similar to 180's setup. It took me a few months over the winter.

I understand that sussudio (forum member) is in the process of installing one of the NEW 3D printed double din bezels.

So it appears as though you can now purchase a double din faceplate and a new faceplate to move/lower the switches from their current position or you can build one. Probably the same price once you factor in time and the "the grief and misery" factor. If I could have purchased one at the time, its probably the route I would have selected.

Nav, touchscreen and Bluetooth are all great features to have.

If you decide to build one, there are several threads on this site.

I might do it. I did something similar on my SRT-4, and added electronics to enable a local CAN bus, to allow me to use a late model OEM Chrysler MyGig radio.

Does anyone know, if say you were to take the steering wheel and harness that goes to the stereo from the steering wheel of a R171 that it could work with our cars? I only ask as I’m basically redoing everything HU wise. If I were to get the aftermarket harness that allows you to use steering wheel controls on a new HU if theoretically it’s possible? I just don’t know whats used from the factory of the R171 steering wheel that’s ran to the original HU. Hope I’m making sense lol. Thanks in advance if anyone is able to help or provide an info

A bit more off topic than I already took it, but I would be curious on this, as well!
