Rear Wheel Bearing Tools For Sale
I have a Miller Tool 9199 used once to replace my rear wheel bearings. This tool is essential for replacing these bearings and is used to press the bearing out of the hub.
Also needed for this job is Miller Tool 1126 which is used to press off the race from the spindle in conjuction with miller tool 9199.
I have done this job myself and I would have to say that it is almost impossible without these tools. The difference in the noise from the wheels was significant. I noticed the wheel bearing noise at around 80k but I can't say when it started since this was my wife's car.
I am offering both tools for $175. The shipping will be somewhat significant due to the weight. I can provide shipping estimates for anyone interested.
Thank you for your consideration and let me know if you have questions regarding the disassembly and reassembly.

Do you still have these tools? I am wondering how difficult is to change the rear bearing and which model of bearing you used.. my car is with a problem in one of them in the passenger side.. I can hear after 60mph in the freeway with a small vibration.. not sure why the vibration as well.

Yes I still have the tools. I replaced both front and rear bearings with Timken bearings from Autozone. Autozone also had the bearing race tool I needed available for free rental.
Vibration is usually due to tire problems, either unbalanced or some other problem. You could also have a rim problem. Bearing noise is usually a low frequency hum or rumble that increases with speed.
The rear bearings require removal of the rear hub assemblies. The most important thing to keep in mind is to mark where the struts are to maintain alignment when you reassemble the rear suspension. The most difficult part of the job was removing the hub assemblies but once I did that, everything else went smoothly. The torque needed to press out the bearings requires either a heavy vise or some other fulcrum device that will hold the hub while you apply torque. If you have ever done suspension work you can get through this job. I recommend purchasing the Chrysler Crossfire Service Manual for instructions on how to remove the hub. It is invaluable for any Crossfire owner. I found the 2004 version of the manual did not have complete instructions for disassembly and eventually found information on the internet including the complete procedure.
Let me know if you are interested in purchasing the tools.
