Re: my xfire air intake system for sale
Does either filter go out directly behind the grille?? or are they both located in the engine bay itself? Thanks.
Re: my xfire air intake system for sale
The one on the left side if the motor will easily go thru the clip between the side of the radiator and down in the nose of the car behind the bumper and splitter. The one on the right can sit under the hood like in the picture but can be put in behind the bumper as well but it will take some trimming for the hole that the hole goes thru. You will have to remove the plastic tubes that stick in those holes and if I remember correctly there are plastic housings that hold those tubes in place that needto come out. The silicone tubes go thru those holes on each side of the radiator. And angles at a 45 degree and down towards the middle of the splitter. Once these go in the filters will be lower than the bumper and closer to the opened vents in the front clip. In the pic the one on the right that I had turned sitting in the dead spot I hadn't got everything I needed to get it down inside the front clip. But both filters can go down into the clip around the vent openings for the fresh cool air. You will need to remove the grill and have somewhat small hands to get down to them and tighten the pipe clamps
