Good dealio... My car is over at the shop right now getting new Hankook Z214's and a specific alignment for this track.

We'll see you on Sunday. But, since both of you are so close to CMS, feel free to drop by on Saturday and get your car tech inspected so you don't have to do it Sunday morning. It'll save you the headache of being in line with all the other people at the crack of dawn and the mad-dash-scramble... Mike will be at the tech trailer all day long on Saturday and the wrist band you get at the gate is good for the whole weekend.

What the hell, it's an idea that may make your Sunday morning a little less hectic and let you get an extra half hour of sleep.

The schedule is the same both days and you will be in the same group as
your other Crossfire guys.

As far as the group capacity, we only invited a limited number of
people to switch days so that neither day would be too populated.

Hope this info helps, see you at the track!

Jody: good talking to you tonight. You cracked me-up with the post above. I'm glad you got the schedule, looks like the same routine as the last time at Buttonwillow. I empathize with you having to drive from San Francisco. As you can see from the schedule, my last TT event on Friday concludes at 4:35 pm. I'll probably do some minor maintenance on the car at the end of the day, and might hangout for the evening awards ceremony, drink a few beers, then secure the garage and drive home. (hopefully by 6:30 pm).

I don't know what time you'll be getting to Fontana on Friday afternoon, but I will make sure that you know which garage # we have after I check-in. So, if I'm on the track when you arrive, you can find our homebase for the weekend... FYI, if you need to do any work on your car Friday night, the garage and all my tools will be at your disposal, even after I leave... The paddock / garage area will be accessible all night since many people / teams are from out-of-town / state and will be over-nighting in motorhomes...

I will also have a few extra tires and wheels with me incase they are needed... (2) 18x8.5 with Hoosier R3S05 225/40/18 and (2) 18x9.5 with Hoosier R3S05 275/35/18 and (2) 19x9.5 with 285/30/19 Michelin Pilot Sport Cup. I'll also have my P/U truck down there if your wife needs it during the day.

Have a safe trip... Don't worry, those new brakes will stop squealing after a few hot laps.

Probably won't be online till next Monday, so if you need to contact me, you have the phone #.

Derek,

Good talking to you also. Thanks for forwarding me the schedule. I'm betting I will get my confirmation e-mail with the schedule link tomorrow anyways. For anyone else eager to get the schedule before they receive their official e-mail, here is the link to the schedule.

Link to California Speedway NASA event for March 16th through 18th.

As to the garage space Friday night, I will probably be all up to snuff, but will be glad to help you with any maintenance on your vehicle or any other Crossfires there. Then we could either go hit dinner and prep for Saturday (read: go to sleep early).

x'ed,

Sticker looks great as is... but you could make the crossfire, lettering and/or background a different color if it suits you.

I have an area about 12"x18" available on my magnetic signs for these types of things, so I'll slap it on as soon as I get it.

You be the judge... I'm not picky... It's going on the body somewhere and will stay there all season...

I had a chance to check my e-mail today during a break at work... I just got the garage assignments for this weekend and have attached them as a PDF. Let me know if you cant view them and I will convert to jpg.

"Crossfire Central" is in Building 3, Garage #34... I will try to rope-off a few parking spots adjacent to the impound area across from the garage, but with the attendance so high...

I just looked a bit more carefully at the garage map and noticed that Building 1 is almost all Formula TR. Which is nice that we'll have some entertainment by a bunch of open wheelers in Race Group A. Here's the link to their website.

And the garage is directly across from the "IMPOUND" (tech inspection) area... Isn't that special ? That means Mike Ellison (Chief Steward) is going to be hitting-me-up for cigarettes and Red Bulls all weekend But, at least you'll have a short walk to the drivers meetings...

Looks like most of the HPDE cars that have not rented garages have been assigned to the north parking lot outside of the fenced paddock / garage area... That really sucks for them...

If you get a chance to talk to X'ed and SRT6-CROSSFIRE, please tell them that it is very wise to show-up early... And also, I never heard back from X'ed about his potential need of a helmet... So I don't know what his cranial status is... [/B] I went on location for work this morning and already packed the truck, loaded the car on the trailer last night and will not be returning home before the event...

PS: Jenny and I are BBQ'ing Saturday evening at the track, nothing fancy, just burgers and dogs... Dinner will be served at 6:30 pm. I am dragging her AZZ out to the track with her friend Nicole, they should arrive about 11AM on Saturday...

See YA !!!

X'ed, I have an extra MC helmet in the truck, but it's a medium, so it might be a little snug on your head.

Also, for anybody who needs them, I brought the 19" Milano wheels / Michelin PS Cup tires, but realized that they might need longer lugs than the OEM... And, if any of you guys want them, I'm giving them away... They are useless to me since I run 18" on the rear. Just bring a car big enough, so you can take them home.

When I was loading my tools, I ran across the OEM Crossfire wheels in my garage. If either of you guys want them, for track tires, call me on Saturday, because I'm going home Saturday night and can throw them in the truck for Sunday. But again, you'll have to bring a car big enough to get them home...
