It was the first time autox the 6... the first time also autoxing in a rwd car.

I took the first 3 runs as a learning runs to see how the car handled with the traction control on. I did not like it at all, i could not get the back end to kick out in the least. Also the front end plowed way too much for my liking. I am currently driving on some pretty worn out continental tires.

In the second half of the event, i adjusted my tire pressure to 37 psi in the front and 40 in the back, i think i'm going to go with 40 in the front and 43 in the back next time. And i also turned off the traction control. It made a BIG difference, the back end kicked out more reliably when i wanted it to, the car didn't plow as much from understeer. You can see in some of the runs, that on the back left of the track, you can see me kick the back end out and hold it. I've never really tired to drift the car too much in daily driving, but it was really easy to kick it out and hold it, though i didn't want to go too crazy out there either.

My times were ok by the end of the day. but for it being the first time out with the car, i'm pretty happy, i'll be autoxing next weekend in Memphis. I am currently debating if i want to spend money on tires now, or wait til later on. If i buy them now, i'll compete better in Memphis, but if i just want to have a good time, i'll just go as is.

Nice Video, I always enjoy seeing other people run.

If I may ask, are you manually shifting the autostick or leaving it in D?

I am very impressed with how flat the Crossfire turns in.

I had 7 runs that day, the first 3 runs were left in D with the traction control off... the last 4 were done with the gear being bumped to first gear while at the start line and then left to shift up on its own into 2nd, it held 2nd the entire time. I did down shift it at the back of the course once, but didn't like how i couldn't really predict exactly when it did the downshift. When it was in auto, it would upshift during certain sections where i held the throttle evenly, and then it would down shift when i would hit the gas, which was usually during a turn and would buck and have the traction control kick in. That would then make the car bog down.

I wish more people actually drove these cars like they were meant to be driving instead of dusting them off and looking at them sit in the garage.
