Default Racers Thread

Let's get a list of all of those that race in Auto-X, Road courses, Drag races, etc.

Only rule is your car has to be at least 60% track related. I'm interested to see what types of motorsports and how many of our owners participate.

My coupe is my daily driver but also doubles as my autocross car. Runs in D Stock. Been fairly successful with it this past year and have made the decision to stick with it for next year and take it to Nationals in Kansas.

My crossfire is also a daily driver. During the spring and summer it sees the drag strip every friday night that its open. I rally a lot of the local kids together so that they start racing on the strip and my crossfire seems to be the mark to beat. Would be nice to make it a harder mark to overtake.

Thanks guys for the responses thus far. We are looking into doing some sponsorships soon and are trying to figure out what parts to focus on.

We're deffinately going to offer suspension discounts on the more popular parts and significant discounts on our own parts.

Keep the list coming.

Thanks,

Anthony

Paul just checked out the site lol I love the intake page, I posted the HOW TO you need to be the first to make the dual intake and run the ERAM's I know you will see gains over the stock box. You could make the dual for less then $300 easy and to top it off gut your engine cover and place it over them for the stock look when you go to shows. PM me if you need help getting it jumped started.

I try to get to 2 to 3 NASA events a year (road course stuff only).

My SRT6 is my daily driver and has been wonderful on the track.

Cheers!

What do you mean by "your car has to be at least 60% track related"?

Sponsorship eh??? So are you sponsoring people competing (like Redline's Time Attacks, NASA / SCCA time trials) or does this include recreational track day outings?

I've done track day events at Laguna Seca, Buttonwillow, Big Willow, Streets of Willow and Cal Speedway and soon hitting NORCAL road courses and can sport some advertising for you if you can subsidize some of my fun. :-)

Basically we are looking for cars that will help get our name out there. If you have several races under your belt and compete on a fairly regular basis then that would count.

We're not looking for all out racecars, as I'm sure not too many of those exist on the board, but recreational is fine.

Basically we would like to get a page on our site dedicated to teh participants sporting our products. We would post pics, race results, and a little about each car and driver and their anticipated schedule.

I'm working on getting a good price on some suspension parts now, when I do I'll be in touch with all of you with more details.

Thanks,

Anthony

My Limited is my daily driver. For fun I autocross in DS class in a local Mercedes club. I placed in top ten the first year and I am a rookie. I will also be participating in a couple HPDE events at VIR and Summit Point tracks if time allows.

The Crossfire competed very well against the competetion. I could only imagine how well it would do with a dedicated set of rim/tires and a performance alignment.

Daily driver and D-Stock autocrosser.

Car had 1 national tour win (my co-driver) and a couple of very close 2nd's (me) at ProSolo's (one of those was to soloIIracer who posted on the first page). 4th (co-driver) and 14th (me) out of 42 in D Stock at the Solo II Nationals a couple months ago.

Shocks just got boxed up and will soon be on their way back to Koni for a revalve for next season.

Would you prefer your real names of display names for the site? If real names, please post.

Thanks,

My name is in my signature and I know a few others are as well. BTW Bryan my Konis won't be far behind yours on their way to Koni for a revalve as well. I am all ready for next year with the full set of lighter wheels and bigger front sway bar as well.

I was only able to take my car to one big event in 2007 and that was the Washington DC Prosolo where I took 1st out of 11 people in D stock. I plan on making several events in 2008 including the DC Prosolo again, Atlanta Region Doublecross, and possibly the Toledo Prosolo and finally both the Prosolo Finale and Solo Nationals in Topeka Kansas. The mods on my car are pretty minimal. A 30mm HR front sway bar, Konig Next 19x9 rear wheels that weigh 6lbs a piece less than stock and Enkei RS7 18x7.5 front wheels that weigh 5lbs a piece less than stock. I have a custom cat-back exhaust to drop weight, K&N drop in air filters, Koni single adjustable shocks soon to have custom valving. Lastly I run either Hoosier A6 of Kuhmo V710 race tires. That about covers all my modifications. A link to pictures of both my car and Bryan's car can be found here

http://photos.teamwtf.org/gallery/3054962#166383448

My car is # 75 and Bryan's car is # 87/187.

My Daily Driver. Autocross AS SCCA and NASA events. In the first 6 month that I owned the car I participated in events in Virginia 5 locations, Washington DC, Atlanta and Birmingham Al. I did well on street tires and have set the car up with race rubber and alignment for the 2008 season.

Yo I'm stil waiting for that super cool engine mod that will rock our worlds... But no one has invented it yet, so I just got a MB engine cover and been re-doing the suspension and exaust.
