First Time out 13.550 @ 104.76
First Time out 13.550 @ 104.76
Well, I finally did it! I went to the track tonight. It was supposed to rain, but it held off until about 8pm. I managed to get four runs in. Everyone at the track was real laid back and very nice, especially to a noobie. I got a lot of looks when I put my helmet on. I don't think too many people know a Crossfire SRT-6 can run 13's stock.
Anyway, I'm still jazzed! I just got home and put my gear away.
Here's my time slips:
Run:_First___Secnd___Third___Fourth
=======================================
R/T:. 1.584 /. 0.808 /. 1.240 /. 0.947
60':. 2.242 /. 2.236 /. 2.295 /. 2.145
330:. 6.045 /. 6.005 /. 6.016 /. 5.828
1/8:. 9.080 /. 9.012 /. 9.017 /. 8.817
MPH:. 81.01 /. 81.74 /. 81.77 /. 82.03
1000:. .000 / 11.525 /.. .000 / 11.318
1/4: 13.869 / 13.756 / 13.762 / 13.550
MPH: 103.58 / 105.09 / 104.42 / 104.76
From what the other guys racing said, the track was not prepped well, and no one was launching well. I know I spun out on every launch. Obviously I need to work on my launch technique, but I'm pretty pleased for my first night out.
The altitude of the track is 1300 ft, the temps were about 65 for the first, down to 61 for the last. I don't know the humidity or pressure. All runs were done with my car completely stock. The sprintbooster doesn't count does it?
I definitely had a good time, no matter what my times. I'll be going back to work on that launch technique.

Re: First Time out 13.550 @ 104.76
It wasn't actually in PA. It was Quaker City Raceway in Salem, Ohio.
On that last run, I beat a Corvette. It was stock, and I think it was 2007, but I'm not certain. It was close though. He ran a 13.882, but I launched better than he did. His 60 was 2.223, which is what I think cost him.
