Old Timer GP at the Nurburgring
Old Timer GP at the Nurburgring
I've just returned from my Crossfire trip around Europe where my last stop was the Oldtimer GP at the Nurburgring so I though I'd post up some of the pics. It has to be one of the best events there is for classic car nuts; just about every one of my dream classics was there.

Re: Old Timer GP at the Nurburgring
Woody,
Awesome photos. Did you take those? They are fantastic.
I sure wish that there was a worthwhile "oldtimer GP" event close to those of us in the Washington DC area. I'm talking about close enough for a day trip.
Something of the scale of a Monteray CA would be fabulous.

Thanks for sharing. I go to one of these races most years at Road America. They get a mix of cars very similar to what you showed. Never saw an Aston running here however. Expected to see a couple of XKE's. We get em. The class with the Fiat that you showed is also is not seen here. Racing Ferrari sedans are also rare. There are a lot of them in paddock but they stay there. As compensation we get a big block class where the Cobra's play with Vettes, XKE's, Camaro's and assorted Shelby Mustang's. Never been to the ring. Your pictures make me want to.

Still got plenty more to go through, I be adding them to the slide show I posted a link to in the original post.
