Wow, and yes, it's definitely harder on the car than a simple 1/4 run. Is it still the same IC pump as the original? More than likely looks like it for sure unless you have a boost leak some where. At least you enjoyed the day and what a heck of a Xmas present!

It is not the original IC pump. This one has 15K on it. Boost leak HMMMMM. I had already planned to take it into the dealer Monday for some other warranty work. One more thing for the Chrysler boys.

glad you and Ashley had a great time ,,i wish i could have gone with you but having had a colonoscopy yesterday , i din't think i should,, hope the car is ok and yes the strain that you put on a stock car on a nascar track is a lot that is why i drag race ,,the cost is way different any way when i see you guys tell me all about it. jim

If you're pushing it that hard and have the pulleys installed I wouldn't be surprised if you reached temp on the supercharger; putting it in limp mode. Having the larger Heat Exchanger would probably cure the issue.

When I was hitting mine HARD it went into limp mode VIOLENTLY and the ESP/BAS light came on and the limp. Limp reset with the temp dropping as the inlet air temp sensor was doing it all to me and thus the super cooler quest.

You could have gotten the IAT sensor gunked up, Brian Brave spoke to that issue. There is a lot of crap in the crankcase blowby stuff and thus the super separator was created , see below.

Others have tried to use paint air line dryers to clear the inlet of oil vapor but at the cost ofTERRIBLE RESTRICTION AND DIPSTICKS BLOWING OUT. The can shown is another creation that Needswings will be offering in 2009 to help that one.

I was able to do some of the design on these projects, ta DAA.

ENJOY, WOODY

do you have a datalogger so you can datalog your temps next time to see if you were overheating?

also, you can buy a quality oil catch can on ebay for around $10 that looks really nice and works as well as a $100 catch can.

MRPHOTOMAN

Do you have the ability to check the inlet air temp thru the computer ????

If so what data logger do you have and how did you connect it to get this reading, thanks WOoDy

I do not have a datalogger and got to say that I am a neophyte and don't even know what a dataloger is! Other then it must log data to review after the fact. Would it plug in under the dash?

This is what I have with the scanxl software;

http://www.scantool.net/scan-tools/elmscan-5-usb.html

and this software that is specifically made for the elmscan:

http://www.scantool.net/software/scanxl.html

it is really easy to use.

i will bring it to MIR the next time i am up there. if you are there you are welcome to try it out.

Wow RMADERMAN that is crazy your supercharger died on you. That is enough to scare me into buying an extended warranty on mine!

I don't think it was the supercharger, but the clutch/pullie. The dealer said they could not just order the CP.

Any chances some of the crap got into the engine? Might "need" a new engine. Under warranty of course!

FYI - If your warranty is up, you can get a completely rebuilt OEM supercharger from PSE Superchargers for $1,495 (W/2 yr. warranty) and a $600 core charge.

Not sure how they would handle the "core charge" when you ship them back a SC looks like yours?
