1/4 mile ET for stock (unchipped) autostick at MILAN DRAGS
Went to local drag strip with Corvette club. Here are my 1/4 mile ET and mph. In order of run. cloudy and 50 F, 5-10 mph headwind.
15.633 91.33
16.136 91.09
15.287 91.66
15.274 91.48
15.330 91.42

15.216 91.84
15.230 91.94
15.089 92.41
15.056 92.61
last 3 runs were no waiting...meaning I went down and returned and ran again. Ran with Michelins and at street air pressure. 33f, 32r. Real consistent times...I couldn't do the elimination rounds with the vettes, since it was their event...but with the xfire being consistent in the bracket racing...might have won several heats...The vette guys liked the car...
Did have a llitle bit of brake dust...I love the EBC green pads...

traction control off. It seems to upshift at redline, so I let it shift on its own. I tried both stomping on throttle and letting it torque up to 1500rpm and then letting go of brakes...which seemed faster, so I ran the rest of the time torqueing up the transmission...But reaction time was more telling... It was the first time I ever did this.
Here are my reaction time (in secs) and the 60ft ET. In run sequence.
1.723, 2.576 Forgot and left traction control on
1.502, 2.779 Torgued too high, couldn't grab
1.250, 2.347
1.125, 2.309
1.276, 2.338
1.072, 2.315
1.288, 2.368
1.112, 2.492
1.341, 2.395
0.814, 2.377
1.288, 2.348
1.030, 2.356
0.982, 2.318
0.750, 2.382
0.834, 2.298
0.882, 2.281

If you could have gotten your 60's down a little more, the time would have been much better. I'm sure if you saw a 2.1 60' you'd be in the high 14's.
Was the track slick? You didn't run through the water box or try to heat up the oem tires did you?

You could say the driver needs more experience. Take it to a track and let's see what the 6 speed will do...and I think Wes is going to see what a chipped autostick will do...
X'ed asked for a baseline....so I did that...now it's your turn(s) :P
June 04 car and driver article on the crossfire roadster estimates 1/4 in 15.1....so I don't think I did that bad. Better reaction time and more rpm loading up the torque converter next time.
Ahh, a challenge for the next time (in august) :P
Ahhh #2. I am starting a donation fund for replacement tires...

We went to Milan last Saturday. Went 7.22 at 199, rt was pretty steady in the .015's.
Yea, not with the XF. Didn't take that. Sunday, there was a fatal crash of the nephew of someone we know real well. He was in a Top Dragster and the brakes locked up at the top end. He didn't have them adjusted right, I guess, and the linkage went past center so he couldn't do anything, crashed front in one wall, back in the other, the engine went into the fuel cell and he was toast. That always brings back some reality at the track. I'm just glad I wasn't there when that one happened.
Too bad we're racing in Columbus this weekend, that test day at Milan would be fun. I know my reaction times would suck too! But fun is what it's all about, right!

Haven't seen any crossfires at any tracks. We are going to Rte. 66 ar Joliet this weekend. Decided not to take mycrossfire. It's a national event and there are way too many spectators walking around. I'd be paranoid that someone might scratch my car or something. Have fun at Mid-Ohio. Are you running your car?
