Default SRT6 vs 458 Italia

Hi all!

Naturally the Ferrari has better specs but I had a nice incident today.

Had just been playing golf, on my way to a short pitstop at work and I see a nice ferrari Italia 458 sitting at the light. He was at the stoplight, windows down and he and his buddy were just sitting playing it cool. Revving a bit and wanted all the attention. He red and I white. Both cars looking smoking hot in the sun. We got green light and I slowly pulled in front of him and we continued in a slow pace until next light where we had space ahead. Perfect for a race session. He had noticed me but was not sure of my origin / performance so he wanted to try out his ferrari. He was behind at this point but he had been revving alot and it is how you say at least here that you want to go for it. It got green and we started to race. Him I guess being somewhat new to his 458 did not catch up. We were very equal. I could see that they were very surprised by my at least in my books "win". Of course his car costs a lot, goes better according to the books but this time I did catch him off guard I do just love my sleeper. They are 11 sec cars and I guess if he is a bit newbie we could be quite even.

The 458 is gorgeous. Must play the lottery tonight and continue to work harder. If I win i'll buy one and give the Albino (SRT6) to the missus.

Pics on Albino comes up later on tonight.

Happy weekend!

He was probably at half throttle.

Those things are nasty and run 11's in the 1/4, factory. With a horrible driver.

Yepp mentioned the 11's above. He probably was just late off the mark but he was still not catching up half throttle or not. He started the game and came out surprised. Anyways, I felt good

Hows the underbite?

Loving it. It gets stares every day; they truly should have made the SRT in white.

The 458 is a work of art... I don't see how Ferrari manages to still sell the F430 anymore. Like, it's roughly the same price but better in so many ways.

I wonder if he was even racing. I raced a viper the other day in my CR-V. He had loud rumble from under his hood, the light turned green, we both went for it, my CR-V hamsters were going as fast as they could, I pulled ahead by a car length and stayed there all the way to the next red light. He looked my way and nodded with respect (he might have been checking out his reflection in my very dark tint).

If any of this sounds familiar then you may have been in a one sided drag race.

In reality a 458 Italia could have made your SRT his very special prison friend, if you catch my drift.

Those are really beautiful cars and it must have been a pleasure to see one out and about.

Maybe the 458 didn't want to suffer the same fate as the other infamous 6. They have a faulty glue that holds the rear wheel arches together that ignites after so much tire heat. Maybe, just maybe, he wasn't trying to toast his new ride.

I think so to. But he was somewhat surprised of my speed and then decided to jump in the game. I find it to be a very very nice motor.
Btw, What xf are you riding?

Sounds like a sight to be seen. But the real important question is, do you have to put your golf clubs in the passenger seat too??
