It looks like the SRT was almost 2 tenths quicker but who got the win light? Looked like Steve got the hole shot. but the SRT was quicker! Great racing! You murdered the Vette and the Hemi. A Hemi Challenger was the first car to lose to V8.

How did John do with the White n/a SRTish car do? He may have some more ponies in his future!

 

Here's how it went down. I did my burnout and pulled forward to stage. Before Steve could do his they told us to kill the engines due to a possible fluid leakage on the track. They started us back up a few minutes later and I didn't bother to do another burnout.

Cold tires lost me a full tenth on the launch. I was also sleeping at the light by 2 tenths, so I had to reel him in.

Below is our slip. I got the win by 1 hundredth of a second!.

let me say grip grip is no slouch at racing. his first pass ever in a srt-6 is a 12.3. bolt on a set of dr's and he lays down a 11.9!!!. best race of the day for me. neck and neck till the end!

That SLK is one SANO machine.... and the SRT6 aint too bad either...

 

Steve was very consistent and just kept slaying giants. I think with a little more practice heating the tires we'll both drop our times a little more. Steve's got other mods waiting to be installed, so it's going to be even more challenging next time.

We were racing at Beech Bend in Bowling Green, KY. No better place than that for Steve to stomp a Corvette. For those that don't know, the Corvette assembly plant is only a few miles from the track.

 

Here's the video of my 12.05 run where I stomped a hole in one of those Viper Rams. Unfortunately my wife only caught the second half of the run.
