Default Ran the 1/4 today and set a new PB.

Today I met up with some friends (Steve, Don, David and his wife Jessica, and Zac) for some 1/4 mile fun.

For the heck of it I decided to make my first run on street tires. As expected I spun a bit but still ran a street tire PB of 12.2 @ 117. Immediately after that run I swapped the tires and went back out and ran a 11.98.

After letting it cool down for an hour I went back out and ran a 11.89, which was a PB. I let it cool down another hour and ran a new PB of 11.86 @ 116. After that I ran a 11.89 and a 11.92. I'm pretty happy to see all my runs with slicks in the 11's.

David and Jessica took some HD videos of my two fastest ET's, so I'll post them up once they're uploaded to Youtube.

For what it's worth, the DA on the 11.86 run was 697'.

12.28 @ 117.3 - Street tires w/ air filter
11.98 @ 115.1 - w/ air filter
11.89 @ 115.9 - No air filter
11.86 @ 116.1 - No air filter
11.89 @ 115.5 - No air filter
11.92 @ 117.5 - w/ air filter

Steve is working out some bugs, but he still ran a new PB of 12.11. His highest trap was 121!!! His car is going to scream when he gets it figured out.

Tell Steve to load up on fuel...he has to be doing something wrong to have that kind of MPH, and still in the 12's...you guys are dialing those cars in. Great times, and great numbers. Steve, you aren't in the big rig with a load on, pal....launch that puppy...put some weight in the back of that go cart...

its not a launch issue doc. 1.8 with little to no spin. i have a tcu mod that has a few bugs in it that jerry and i are working on. best et was a 12.1 @ 118 and best speed was 12.2 @ 121.8 1.8 60 ft on the 1st and 1.9 on the 2nd run.

that is crazy...I would love to have that kind of mph at the end of the run. My little roadster was quick off the line, but fell short at the end. Now the coupe isn't acting that way at all...well, one car at a time for me. I have to finish the coupe, and we will go fix the roadster later. You both had great numbers....need to plan on a trip down next spring to play...should have both cars figured out by then. This track you are at will let the roadster run won't they?.....you are close my friend...

OH, you need to be in the 1..7X's with drag radials...

A few weeks ago I saw a guy at the track (Beech Bend) in a convertible S2000. I spoke with him and he stated that he'd been running it there for years and they'd never said anything about it. I wouldn't try running it with the top down though.

Yes, the filter was removed along with the elbow and grille. I'm running a Needswings single.

What no video of our run when you let me have the right lane? LOL. Here is the only video I have of the 11/19 T&T.It was one of my slowest runs that day. I am impressed by your crossfire. I thought I would start checking out this forum,I may pick up one to play with. You all should come to challengerfest at Beechbend on April the 14th.

That would be great if you bought a Crossfire. At present, I don't want any of your wheelie beast. Next time I'm keeping my favorite lane.

I'd like to attend in April if a red headed cousin is allowed.

Yes Sir, you would be more than welcome. I was looking at 2 crossfires on line in your area today. I do appreciate you giving me that lane that day, first pass with my new wheels and tires. Here is a link to the event, you know J with the orange challenger this is his web page with the event info. Later Phil
