3 laps at Salinas Speedway
It was hot on Sunday in Salinas. 92º to be exact. So here's my video of 3 laps of which 2 are my fastest of the day ..... that I know of. I didn't bother to stick around to pick up my times for the 3rd heat.I had several in the 108's which makes me happy. It means I'm getting more consistent. I hope it's enjoyed by all.

Great vid as always Les.
I do have a question for you? Were you able to get the links installed in the rear end already? If so, did you notice any improvement in your handling by taking the pre-load off of the sway bar?

The links are in. First impressions are that the rear suspension handles the bumps much better in the curves. Breakaway is more predictable and it's easier to bring the back of the car in line. If you watch closely you will see the rear start to slip a couple of times. Adjusting the throttle imput brought it back immediately. After the first heat I lowered the rear pressures and the back of the car was gripping better. Taking the tension off the bar allowed the rear half of the car to lean a little more than normal. In recent track photos the front is leaning more than the rear and now I believe the lean is even. I'm deciding which direction to go next. Adjust my rear alignment or slightly tighten up the bar. As with any new adjustment, I have a learning curve to go through. The way the car feels is a night and day difference and my times improved. These links may even help drag racers. Loosen the bar all the way and you should get a little more weight transfer to the rear. Not a whole lot, but perhaps enough to make a difference.
So to sum up. These links will improve your ride IF your car is lowered and you take the preload off the bar. The rear of the car will behave better in the corners, more compliant. As far as speed in the corners, that comes with confidence. So far I discovered that the chance of something bad happening I can't control is less likely. I keep getting faster so I'm a happy camper.
