Default Hit a yellow Porsche

I had a rental tonight and just got home. I was a bit slower overall for some reason, perhaps the weather. Anyway I decided to cool the car for an hour to see if the elusive 11 would happen but it was another 12.04. I'll get the slips from the car tomorrow and post the best one. The Porsche, well, it's a Yellow Carrera S that now has a mark on the front fender. I was backing into the water box and he didn't see me and tried to cross behind my car. HONK .. BOINK! I have a scratch as well but I think most of it will buff out. I was looking out the drivers window and didn't see a thing until the bump. I lost my desire to keep trying tonight and packed it in. He was running 12.8 more or less at 107 mph. Slow on the track as well as ..... never mind.

Here's the slip. DA was 1680 at the hour of this pass. This slip had the best of everything of the night, 60' 330' etc. The car in the right lane was a C5 Corvette. I know it's still no 11's but it's the best I can do without fans and ice. Next time I'll see what happens with the chilling tricks.

Sorry about the sideways picture ....

Do you think dual ram air ports on the front of your hood allowing air to flow over your supercharger will help with the cooling? Squirrel Crusher

I think hood vents would work wonders. On my car the nose starts to lift at high speeds (over 100) and I'm beginning to think the air can't get out fast enough and it blocks fresh air from getting in freely.

I'm still looking at the time slips from prior rentals and comparing them to last night. The changes to the car are: No meth, wrapped intercooler and serviced stock injectors. I had the fastest 1/8 mile speed ever last night with a 1.806 60'. The prior best had a 60' or 1.772, 1/8 mph of 91.21 and 1/4 at 12.019 @ 115.70. So perhaps my first impressions of being slower were incorrect after all.

OUCH.....Les, my July has sucked big time.... Started out by my little Suzuki getting backed into...1 of 444 zukis imported into the US in '98. Find parts for that... Got sick, missed Carlisle, helped 2 of my sons with some personal issues, Hit a deer with the Tahoe, minor damage, finally got MIR results from a shoulder injury I was rehabbing from an earlier accident a work. Surgery end of the Month coming. July truly sucks. Im taking the whole month off next year...lol.

Take a look at my 4 in 1 hood mods at the Fall Dragon. Air want have any problems entering or exiting at any speed. Not going to say anymore and high jack your thread. Squirrel Crusher
