Track time Video!
Here it is. It wasn't my fastest time out but close enough considering I was braking early and taking care that the back end of the car behaved. The outside temperture gauge was in the 120's on the asphalt so it was a hot one too. The car performed extremely well. The CCCPR (organizing body) has a new board and they took everyone by surprise running the event on schedule. I didn't have all the time in the world to tape up my car. For that reason I missed a few laps at the beginning, forgot to tape up a few places and you may hear the humming which is the plastic flapping where I didn't have time to make sure it was secure. I hope you enjoy the video. For reference, on the front straight I hit 135 + or - and 115 on the back straight. The curves after the hairpin are taken a little over 80. The wide angle camera seems to obscure the speed and sharpness of the curves. At least it seems so to me.

Les, I felt like I was riding with you ,but hanging to The rear fender is hard on me ,Every time you made a turn I leaned, loved the video, you do such a great job driving , I see you love your passion. Keep the good work, keep the videos coming. jim
I feel blind and pitiful at putting 2 + 2 together. It wasn't too many days ago I posted a picture of the rub marks on the rear inner fender wells. Duh, a little braking on the inner well could cause exactly what I'm experiencing. I'll get it taken care of.
I got blasted on a local forum for lack of safety equipment. I meet all the requirements for the events I participate in however, the truth hurts and I'll be looking into stepping it up in the safety equipment department. I'm inquiring into a roll bar, at least a 4 point and perhaps a six point.
Justin, what seat and mounting system do you use? I'll be keeping the airbag so I'll also be keeping the stock belts for now. I recently replaced my open face helmet with a full face. Next will be some driving gear and fire extinguisher.

We are running a Momo race seat with a custom mount to lower the seat. I actually just talked to Rob this morning about seat options for the crossfire and we think we found a Sparco that would work. Give him a call he can set you up with a seat, mounting bracket and slider.
I can't express to you how important proper driving gear is. A fire suit, gloves, shoes, socks, and balaclava are minimum. These items are much cheaper than hospital bills to fix burn scars. Secondly a fire extinguisher is the minimum you should have. I would suggest a full fire suppression system (when your ready for this step let me know I have a few I recommend).
Lastly be careful with your airbags, I have seen them go off before on cars that are tracked as hard as yours. I saw a CTS-V blow both side curtain bags when they hit some curbing to hard.
