No 10's for '13. :(
No 10's for '13. :(
Perfect conditions, no crowd, car was ready to go, but there seemed to be a problem with the TCU tune. My shifts took a second or two at times, making the crowd think I'd missed a gear. Hopefully this is a simple TCU revision away, as I know the tranny can take the power since Daithi had a couple hundred passes on his with a larger 150 shot without a single slip.
Anyway, with the dark cloud of running slow was a silver lining of lowering my best 60 foot a little to a 1.56! The launch was so brutle it felt as though the tires were lifting a little (but of course they weren't). Yes, I believe that is the best 60' for any Crossfire, including the mightly V8.
Here's some photos of the day along with my slips. No videos, as I was at the track alone.

At first I was, but a few dozen people eventually showed up. It was a ghost town though for a while.

It's finally getting it done on the 60 foot. I'm working with Rudy to the get the tune worked out for some better numbers next year.
Re: No 10's for '13. :(
That was my last run, but I had adjusted the window switch and really limited the time the nitrous was on, having it shut off at 4,500 RPM's. I made the changes to see if the tranny would shift any quicker, but it didn't help. The bottle was full at the start of the day, so I don't think the nitrous was low. I should weigh it tomorrow to confirm. Either way, all the runs were SLOW. All of them should have been 10.9's-11.1's at 125-128mph.
