Went to the track last night
Went to the track last night and was pleasantly surprised by my time. 13.37 @ 105 mph. The car is completely stock. It was around 60-65 degrees out so traction was a problem. Now I really can't wait to do the sc pulley and tune.
nice, congrats and I'm sure you had a blast!
we tried to go racing yesterday also but the gate was closed and no one was there as they decided to close the track yesterday in anticipation of rain that didn't come. bummer, waste of 3 hours of driving.

Glad to see you out racing, or at least trying... My year has been ridiculously busy. Cars are just sitting. Keep thinking I will find the time, but health issues have caught up with me again. Hopefully spring will bring a renewal of racing. Nice stock times btw.
Well, now I know why my car ran what it did. It has an aftermarket s/c pulley. looks to be about 2 1/2". I don't know if it is tuned or not though. I bought it from a used car dealer so I have no way of knowing who owned the car before me. Pretty sure I should be in the 12's with the pulley and tune. I need to work on my launching and 60 foot times. So much for thinking it was stock. It's still a fun car and I plan on doing some performance upgrades to get my times down.
Are you sure? I once took a stock car down the track on a hot day here in Indiana and did a 13.1. Matt Zahands to be exact. A pulley and tune would put you in the mid 12’s on stock tires. After that it becomes expensive to shave your way to high 11’s.
All the magazine road tests from back in the day said the SRT's ran 13.3 sec. 1/4 mile. So your car is running right where it should be. (Except for your pulley).
hi mike, feeling better, and u r right low 13's to mid 12's with pulley and tune and maybe tires. jim
