Default road racing

Has anyone seen, heard of, or participated in any form of road racing with the Crossfire? I can't find anything. Seems like these cars are either neglected or forgotten all about when it comes to road racing. I'm not a member of SCCA so I'm not familiar with their rules that could affect our car's. I did check with "Grassroots Motorsports" to see if they had any information or past articles about road racing the Crossfire but they had none. If anybody has any information or reading material that is about road racing the Crossfire, can you let me know.

Thanks,

Jim

Les ( velociabstract ) down in Puerto Rico can tell you anything you want to know. He even posted some neat videos a few years back.

Hey Jim, check around your area for Autocross. It's a great way to get started. These cars are a blast to run an Autocross course with.

Thanks turbo-duck. There is a autocross event coming up in April just outside of Cincinnati, if the virus doesn't cancel the event. I may go to watch and see what all is involved.

You should go. See if you can get a ride along with one of the other members. It's much more fun driving than watching. It looks kinda slow but takes a lot of skill to be fast.

Our club has some really cool pavement to run on, more like a short road course. But parking lot runs are fun as well. We also have a challenge event at the end, I won the last one last year and took home over $300 in cash / prizes.

Check this out ->

I'm one of 2 or 3 Crossfires road racing. My car is as fast as anything in my class and it handles exceptionally well. It took a lot of work to build, and get dialed in, but it was worth the effort. I love Crossfires, and I have another 2005 SRT6 coupe, which I drive, and a 2006 SRT6 roadster.

Looks real good!!! I wish you the best of luck in your racing. Maybe I'll see you in the pages of "Grassroots Motorsports". They seem to have a dislike for Crossfire's so maybe you can show them what a great car this is.
