Default Track Wheels & Tires

I had to make a change on my rear 19" wheels for the track because I was having problems finding a decent race tire in that size. The 19" rears are now for street wheels...

I am now running 18x8.5 front wheels & 18x9.5 rears.

The tires that I'm trying for the track this weekend are Hoosier R3S05 275/35/ZR18 slicks for the rear. And Kuhmo ECSTA V710 245/35/18 slicks for the front.

I'll be running the combo on the track for the first time this weekend and give some feedback when I get home...

The guys that drag here are ok with the Hoosier tires for the first couple of runs, but then complain about not being sticky after the second and third run. The SCCA guys say the same, so please be safe and let us know how it works out.

Just got back from the track... Video in progress... Per the company, the Hoosiers are only good for 7 heat cycles... Which I had 3 events today and they were AWESOME... I took it really easy because I wasn't feeling well... Must be coming down with the FLU..

I'll post some video when I get a chance to edit and upload it...

I'll post some interesting things about the event today and AGAIN how people were checking out the car in the paddock area... But HOMEY don't feel so good right now...
