Hello, my name is Brad. I'm from Quakertown, PA and this past weekend I got my 2004 Crossfire from a used car dealer in North Jersey. It's graphite grey with a reddish brown interior (not sure what to call it). It came with a great-sounding Borla catback and what I believe are SRT6 wheels (correct me if I'm wrong). It's a manual, which I am just learning to drive. Please don't hate too much, I wanted to learn sooner but didn't have access to a manual car before this. My parents actually bought it for me but I have to buy it from them after college or else they'll sell it to someone else. I fully intend to do so as I'll be maintaining and upgrading it until then. There are a few small things that are bothering me about it right now but overall I can't complain, it's in pretty great shape and only has about 102,000 miles on it.
That is a tow hook and I really wish I could get rid of it. I think it's so ugly but it's welded onto the metal post behind that mini grille. Until I can figure out how to safely remove it or find someone who can, I'm going to paint it the same grey as the body.

Maybe the car is not reliable at all and the one on the other side got worn out.

The prior owner may have raced, or did track days with the car on a track that required them, or recommended them, to reduce risk of damaging the car if it had to be pulled back to the pit. As the car was upgraded with SRT wheels, and front bumper, maybe the prior owner thought the hook was an upgrade.
Thanks for the welcome messages everyone! And thanks for the insight Toolman, that is possible. I don't really see it as a track car in its current state but maybe others wouldn't share my opinion. The previous owner may have also kept some of the performance parts they had on it before they traded it in.
