We saw the chapel back in 2015 & it is truly beautiful. But we missed out on the ferry ride last year when we cancelled due to my work. Gotta take that ferry this year!

While in Paducah, we saw a Crossfire Coupe parked in a driveway close to the hotel we're staying at. Stopped & knocked on the door. Turns out the owner bought the 2005 Limited Coupe back in FEB with just over 100k on the ODO. His car is black and he had it detailed today. Car looked really good. We showed him our 2007 Limited Coupe and mentioned the Ozark Mtns event this coming week in Eureka Springs. Gave him info on the Forum and told him to login & begin looking around to learn all things about the car.

I made it to Tupelo, Mississippi after a more than two hour delay with the Uhaul truck - I learned that there is a trailer light controller operated by a 20 amp fuse under the hood. Not sure how it managed to blow twice, third fuse held.
They gave me spare fuses and set me on my way.
Unlike dedwards, tomorrow's drive will be a bit longer.

I rolled in about 4 - here I was, on the overlook just south of Jasper, Arkansas on highway 7. I came up from I40 - fun drive, even in the uHaul but sure took longer than had I been in the car...
Yes, were were at dinner - I'd never been to Aquarius - another example of the OUTSTANDINGLY GOOD food here in ES.

Today’s drive back from Jasper, led by gene, was epic fun. Iv never done it like that before - some of those roads look boring on the map. They aren’t boring.

Group we were part of on WED took Hwy 103 back from Jasper to Hwy 62. Stopped at the pottery factory along the way. Fascinating shop & very hospitable owner. And Hwy 103 was a blast to drive! Other than it being miserably hot, the week has been a real treat with lots of great roadways.

On TUE, we were part of the group Gene led over the roadways to Peel Ferry. Seeing 10 XFires on the ferry was something to see. We stopped for lunch at a great BBQ house in Harrison, before heading back to Eureka Springs. We were really looking forward to taking the ferry ride across the lake. Overall, a really good day!
And I have to say that on several routes this week, Annette has rode along as tail gunner on the trips. She does a fabulous job communicating on the group's navigation of intersections and the occasional non-XFire member than joins the group.

We are, of course, talking about the same run - and we can't leave out that detour from Berryville to Eureka Springs - WOW was that a pretty and fun drive. I ran it again today alone at the speed limit - just a wonderful drive.

This is Grady - he bought a flooded SRT and restored it WONDERFULLY. When I say "he" restored it, I mean that HE restored it. Amazing job with the car, and what a great guy - he is one of my new Texas Crossfire neighbors.
