I'm making a trip up to Dallas from College Station on Saturday and thought it would be a good time to see if anyone wants to meet up. I haven't been able to get to the other meets. Let me know if anyone is up for it.

Thanks for the heads-up Sandman. However, I'm still having to make the trip and would like to meet up. I'm having to drop my wife off in Murphy for a wedding shower so I suppose somewhere fairly close to there. I don't know what's all up in Dallas so if you could suggest a place to meet, that would be great. I remember last time you guys met, someone said Keller's? I have no idea where it's at but I'd be up for there. Let me know.

Keller's is a local tradition. It's more the experience and the people than anything else. On weekend nights there are often groups of hotrods, classic cars and motorcycles. Our group would fit right in. You'll see every kind of people there.

I think I was the one to suggest it. I would be open to other places. There's a place on the far west side of town that's more modren yet similar. It's one of the "Papa Xxxx" restaurants. It is just west of I-35E on Northwest Highway.

 

I guess I'll finally have to break out that Claybar kit. Keller's at six pm Saturday?

 

That or a bit later. It gets more interesting the later you go.

You're going to have to settle for mine just being dusted off. God knows the lighting there will show every speck.

Hey guys I can't make it but keep in mind Saturday is the "Texas - OU" game and a lot of the area around that part of town will be CRAZY !!! I think I would meet up a little further away.

 

I suppose. Football is so far off my radar screen I wouldn't know. I do know that downtown Friday night will be a nightmare.

The drive-in is quite a ways away from Fairpark but the city in general will be busier all weekend.

 

How 'bout 7 pm at Keller's. Will be getting fairly dark by then.
