Now that we have a few Crossfire owners in the Schertz, Cibolo and New Braunfels area, why don't we have an area GTG?

Sounds good to me. I can meet just about any time. I think it would be great to meet some local owners af this great little car.

When and where???

 

I'm fairly new to the area and I was hoping someone would have some good idea of where to meet, preferably where the traffic is not to bad. I'm hoping something good out of our GTG would be to have a locale club as part of Crossfire International. We could meet on a regular basis to socialize and have a good time and develop some lasting friendships. As we all have something in common, it's a good start. I enjoyed the GTG in Austin and met some nice people. A locale GTG makes it easier to do. Any ideas? I wouldn't mind having several Crossfires parked in front of my house, it would make me popular with the neighbors. They are impressed with my Crossfire when I have it in the drive.

I am new to the area as well (moved here last week) and live in Schertz, Jonas Woods. I would love to have a GTG. I was stationed in Florida and we would have GTGs every couple of months. We made connections with a local track and they would let us do some parade laps and then some hot laps prior to the first race. Not sure if there are any tracks in the local area or not, but could be fun.

Bill, here are three suggestions of where to meet.
Schertz park swimming pool parking lot.
Nimetz Park off 78 in Cibolo.
Taco Cabana on 3009.
We can all meet at one of these places and decide what we want to do. I have been in the area several years and may know many of the back roads your not familiar with yet. I like the idea of a local club sounds like it could be fun. Let us know where and when.

Would it be OK with everyone if we meet at the Taco Cabana on 3009? That is about 2 miles down the street from me. I live just off Live Oak Road. After lunch, if everyone would like to drop by my house, we could discuss how to get a locale XFI Chapter going. I'm retired and available anytime. What is a good day that all of us can meet? (no excuses) Bring the spouse or a friend too. I'm thinking Saturday or Sunday.

Sunday, as in tomorrow? I can do it if it is earlier in the day as my 17 year-old daughter is having friends over for her birthday party at 7:00. On second thought, maybe the evening would be better Just let me know where to go.

After we have established a day of the week, then we can establish the date. It would be nice to do it next weekend.

The GTG is on for this Sunday the 12th at 1400 hrs (2:00) at Taco Cabana off of 3009 (Roy Richard Drive). We have 5 Crossfires. I look forward to seeing everyone. I hope that a locale XFI will develop from this GTG.

 

Reminder to see you all Sunday for the Schertz GTG.

 

It's still on, one of our Crossfire owners (Derf) will not be showing up due to some rental property issues. Derf was coming 80 miles to attend. Another owner says he may be late. I look forward to meeting everyone. Rodger, I hope you talked with your neighbor about the GTG.
