This a a reminder about the Central Texas Crossfires GTG at Carlos N Charlies this coming Sunday. There has been some interest from the Houston club in joining us on one of our GTG's as they are looking for twisty roads to travel. Every Crossfire owner is welcome to join us and we would especially like to the Houston club members to join us. Let us know on this forum or pm any CTC member. The next GTG after this one will be in April, not sure where yet. The list of who will be going begins now for this Sunday. Austin, Round Rock and Hunt CTC members and any other Crossfire owner, let's hear from you.

Hal, yes from our area, the Schertz, Cibolo CTC members and any other Crossfire owners who would like to join us will meet at the HEB on the 3009 side at 12:00 and depart at 12:30 to meet up with Roy and Crossfire owners who would like to join us at Target in New Braunfels off Walnut. I asked Daniel to designate a meeting point for us to join up with the Austin area CTC members and any other Crossfire owners along the route so we can drive in a convoy and arrive at Carlos N Charlies together. I'm waiting for his response. If anyone has any suggestions, please post so we can agree on it.

 

Hey guys, I might decide to make that trip with my wife. Where would I meet you guys because I really don't know much about that area. I am in College Station. If someone can send me an adress so I can set the nav'. I sure would like to go and meet you guys.

There is a Target Store at the corner of William Cannon and I 35 on the southside of Austin. If the Austin and outta town guys wanna meet there for the line up to Carlos and Charlies.
It's on the northeast corner of WC and 35, easy off, easy on. I will probably head down to New Braunfels to meet up with Roy and others.

Does Stogey's suggestion about the meeting spot in Austin work for everyone? Hal would you post a map where the Target is and provide an address so GPS can be used. Any info helps especially for those coming from the east.

 

Being that I am coming from US-79 to FM-620, I guess I am just going to have to meet you guys there because It would make no sense to drive all the way to south Austin to come go back up to the NW side again. Does anyone live on the northside that will be headed straight there. According to Mapquest I have a two and a half hour drive just to get there. I hope a lot of people show up.

 

Hals suggestion works for me, but,, depending on witch way we go it might be easier for the Austin guys to meet at the Academy parking lot where SouthWest Parkway starts. Hal, Joe, Daniel what do you think.

That's probably better for the Austin guys, since I think most live north or northwest Austin.

I'm planning to head down New Braunfels way and hookup with the guys from the southern parts. It's a lil further to drive, but I'll just have to " GRIN " and bear it ! or is it bare it ?

 

Do me a favor and just "Grin" and skip the "Bare".

 

I think we should meet at Lakeline Mall on HWY183 and RR620. There's an Ultimate Electronics that's no longer occupied and an empty parking lot. It's in front of the Sears lower level. Then we can cruise through Volente and drive to CNC after.

So this is the supposed route if you guys want to do a windy twisty route to carlos and charlies.

1) Meet at the old Ultimate Electronics parking lot in front of the lower level of Sears at 2pm.
2) Drive through Volente
3) Stop at the top of Mansfield dam for pictures
4) Drive to Carlos and Charlies.

OK Daniel looks like you have it all planned out. Thanks for all your work. So, unless someone makes changes the Schertz, Cibolo, SAn Antonio guys will meet at the HEB parking lot on 3009 at Noon and leave by 12:30 (Don't forget the time Changes) Next stop Target in New Braunfels to meet with Roy & Hal and any others. Continue on to Lakeline Mall to meet up with the Austin group
and follow Daniels, route to C&C.
