Hey Fellow Crossfire Fans,

I am from the Houston area, but if it is a nice day, maybe I will take a drive out to Bastrop. I used to take the kids camping there and it is beautiful. Would you mind a Houston bloak invading your group? If not, where and at what time would you meet?

Thanks,

Glenn

You are welcome to join us but our destination has changed to Marble Falls, meeting times and place will be determined probably in a few days. If you are in, I'll put you on the list.

marble Falls a beautiful area. Lots of roads to wander. Don't see anything scheduled for the 19th on the COC Calendar.

Hey Glenn,
Sorry about the last minute change, we didn't notice when we set the date that half of Texas was going to Bastrop State Park that weekend. We will talk about the next run at the GTG and may try to do the Bastrop run next month. We will give you a shout when we get it set up.

Proposed Marble Falls Run,

We could meet in Kyle at CVS and take 150 to 150W to RR12 , go north on RR12 to Hamilton Pool Rd (turns into RR962E) and go to 281 and Marble Falls. We can eat at the River City Grille. When we leave we can take Cottonwood Rd (RR2147) to HWY71 and over to RR962 back down to Hwy281 and split up there.
I am working on a picnic area that I will throw out later.

We can also do a run to Driftwood and eat at the Salt Lick and back down to Wimberley and hang out at the square.

Paul, once again you have earned your Chefs Hat. River City has a good menu, and prices are adjustable to your taste and expense account. The only thing that concerns me is, what do they do when the 12 bottles of beer are sold? Looks as tho one is already gone? Either place is fine with me. I'll be riding solo, so either one will work.

I forgot to mention that Reeca and I have eaten at River City Grille several times and can vouch for it. I do not know about the weather but if it is nice they have a patio overlooking the river that is nice, that is where we have always ask to be seated. If that is the destination we can call the day before to get an outdoor table. The only thing I do not know is how many can be seated outside but I will find out.

Opinions please....

I will check the time on the run and report back, should I start a clean thread with the run and the list?

Paul,, FWIW, a new thread with "this is it" status should take the guesswork out of when, where and who is going. You have the route pretty well planned as I see it, so unless somebody has a problem, let's stick with it.

Go for it. I sent Willie a PM, he hasn't been on the the forum since 3/18, I will give him a call. Time to meet for us in the SA area at HEB will depend on the time Paul sets to meet in Kyle. I'm still wondering why other CTC members have not responded. As we've discussed before, it seems they have no interest in the club anymore.

The proposed run is about 65 miles but because of the roads about 2 hours from Kyle to Marble Falls, I have not driven all of it but have been on some it should be a nice run.
Start in Kyle at 9:00-9:30am and that will put us in Marble Falls 11:00 - 11:30am and we can eat-n-meet the we can do some photo-ops leaving, Cottonwood Rd (RR2147) runs out to Horseshoe Bay on Lake LBJ and I am sure we can find some spots good for pictures.
If this looks like the one I will post it in the Meet section and just leave this thread for us to talk on. Let me know.....
