Looks like Sunday, March 29th is going to be sunny and around 72 degrees.

Does anyone want to meet?

We could also discuss the TMS event and a possible road trip.

Open for suggestions on meeting places. Somewhere on Greenville might be nice or Keller's or anyother place.

Not sure if we can make it this Sunday. But a Keller's burger with the group does sound good.

 

I would like to come. Of course Keller's is just around the corner from me. Trouble for me is my shooting club goes to the pistol range on the same day every month. My shooting club is going to the range at 2:00.

I could make it if we met in the late afternoon. We might also think about Friday or Saturday evening when all the other hot rods gather. That is more appealing to me. It's fun to look at all the other cars.

I am not sure the Monday night meet is our “cup of tea”. This meet is put on by a local forum called ricekillers.com . I have attended a few of these meets over the years in the various locations and they all seem to attract the same crowd. Now there are some good folks there, but there is also hundreds of thugs and disrespectful young adults who only go to start fights, talk trash, and destroy others property. I have seen countless cars be “door dinged”, “keyed” and “burglarized” at these meets and a fair share of fights break out.

With that being said, this same organizer host a Sunday afternoon meet in Plano for the older more mature crowd (ME). He labels this as an exotic car meet and discourages people to attend this meet that he would welcome to have at the Monday meets. This meet is much smaller, usually 20-40 cars and mainly Vettes and Mustangs with a few Vipers and Cadillac’s sprinkled in. I go to this meet fairly regular and although the crowd is better, there is still the “street race” group there.

Now there is also a "super snobish" Saturday morning meet that is put on by another Dallas forum that has all the rich guys with their toys. I always feel out of place there because my little Crossfire cost less than most of these cars wheels and tires. Also, sitting around talking about the stock market and smoking cigars on a Saturday morning is not my idea of fun. These boys tyipically hang out for a while, then go speed up and down the north dallas toll way.

I think the Keller’s idea would be the best. I know there is a pretty diversified gathering there on Saturday evenings when the weather is nice.
