May 17 CTC GTG Bastrop's Parks
Might as well get this started. Any reason not to have the GTG this time at Bastrop Parks Sunday May 17. Will this be a picnic? Last month's scheduled GTG was changed to Marble Falls due to bikes overcrowding the Parks. If you are for it, let's get the list started. Lets go members. All are welcome to join the CTC GTG.
The List: 1. John 2. Bill |
Re: May 17 CTC GTG Bastrop's Parks
Guess I might as well sign up 'till somebody finds a reason not to have it.

Re: May 17 CTC GTG Bastrop's Parks
I think the plan is Bastrop State Park ( http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/f...parks/bastrop/ ) with a Drive through to Buescher State Park (http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/spdest/f...arks/buescher/ ) in Smithville. Picnic or restaurant, a vote? The CTC (less Jared) could meet in Kyle at the at about 9:30 and take 21 over to Bastrop and meet up with Jared and any cars from Houston about 10:30 at the front gate to the Bastrop State Park ( or in the parking lot of the Roadhouse across the street ) do the run and picnic in the park or go back to Bastrop and eat at the Big Mouth Southwestern Grille: http://texasbigmouth.com/BMSWG-Where.html
What do yall think? THE LIST 1. Bill 2. John 3. |
Re: May 17 CTC GTG Bastrop's Parks
Picnic lunch is fine with me. Picnic at Canyon Lake was fun, no rush, no noise, good chance to talk. Nothing fancy, no need to cook unless Emeril is coming. Find a place and hunker down????

Re: May 17 CTC GTG Bastrop's Parks
You know I would always like an excuse to drive out to Gods Country.
I used to take my family to Garner S.P. twice a year. its been a few yrs. but I was there last yr with the car club and I was the only one who thought about camping after everyone went home sunday I went solo. and it was great but I think we could arange a GTG aimed at camping even if they need a cabin, they have them.... |

Re: May 17 CTC GTG Bastrop's Parks
I vote PICNIC!
I suggest we stop at the first picnic facility inside the park that will accomodate us. If not in Bastrop SP, go on to Beuscher SP. John P |
Re: May 17 CTC GTG Bastrop's Parks
There are 3 picnic areas in Bastrop Park.
