Don't know if you got earlier msg.

Looks like you got the plan, only a few questions. Tried calling your # Kaput. How do you plan to get to Devil's Backbone
from Kyle? If going to San Marcos, why not meet there? Save back tracking people from the south. Where do you plan to eat? Don't think you were with us when we went to Blanco couple months ago and Lukenback was overcrowded. Good restaurant in Blanco we ate at. Here's my proposal to cover the towns you mentioned.
Meet at San Marcos. take 12 (Devil's Backbone to 32.
32 to 281 and go to Blanco. Eat.
Go back down 281 to 473 (Kendalia).
473 to Comfort to Center Point. 480.
480 to Camp Verde, break if store is open.
Camp Verde south on 173 to 2828.
2828 to Medina.
Return through Bandera, Pipe Creek on 16 to 46.
46 to Boerne and bust up.
OR
If I understand you correctly, I don't see a 45 only 46 which is way south of Comfort. PM me your addy if you want, or call me and I'll mail you some maps.

You sure do partner, this will be irst time out. Picked it up on 20 May in Norman, OK from party in Kansas. He trailered it down to meet me. Was a scary sight unseen, faith based transaction. Had 10,234 miles on it. Didn't see Barney all the way home.

Sounds sweet! And talk about low mileage...makes my 31,000 look like a lot.

That's exactly what I had in mind JP...... I can get you there......just don't know all the road numbers !!!
I don't think runnin the Sisters would be such a great idea due to the time constraints involved.
Is everyone good with BBQ ? There's a lil place in Blanco (Riley's I think) and the food is not half bad !

I am ready! As it stands I will be in Austin for a friends birthday party, so I am just going to get a hotel. Just let me know what time and what town to meet. Let's do this thing!

There is still time to get on the list by 6/14/09.

We still have several members who have not responded and some who have not attended several of the last GTGs. Get on the list so we can have a nice turnout and enjoy each others company. That's what it is all about.

The List

1. Bill
2. Eric
3. John
4. Jared
5. Hal

6. Paul (maybe)
7. Paige
8. Skip
9. Seannon ( probably)
10. texas t
11. Chuck

Hey Bob that is great. In San Marcos take exit 204A (HWY 82) turn right on 82 and the first group there will call the meeting place, there are several business right there. I have your number and I will call you around 9:30.

For everyone if memory serves me (and sometimes it doesn't very well) there is an Econo Lodge on the north corner just after the I35 frontage road turns west onto Hwy 82 (South Guadalupe Street) we can meet there. I put a " A " where the motel is. ( Google Maps )

Doggone Paul you're good. You get another A+ for mission planning.

from: 29.871164,-97.939135 to: San Marcos, TX - Google Maps kIwp-g&hl=en&mra=dme&mrcr=0&mrsp=0&sz=17&sll=29.87055 9, -97.938781&sspn=0.00467,0.009656&ie=UTF8&z=17
Use your cursor to "capture" the little yellow man and move him to Paul's A.
Gives you street view.

Sorry for not having responded sooner. A phone call and chewing out from FTroop got me motivated lol

My sister and her son are coming down from Minneapolis to visit us- not sure yet what our plans will be or how long they are staying so i have to be non-commital. I would certainly like to make the GTG if things work out.

On another subject, I 'clayed' my car last weekend. I did not believe it would make much of a difference but all I can say is WOW! It (plus the waxing) really makes the metal flake come to life and 'deepens' the paint.

Oh yea, those clay bars work wonders. I do that to all my cars every so often, keeps them fresh. Now I just need to get my Porter Cable

Hope to see you there too! The more the merrier.

Bill, it appears that only you and I are coming from the south. I'll meet you at the HEB on 3009 at 09:00 unless you see it different. We can take our time to San Marcos.Stogey and Eric and Jared can group where they want. Paige, if you have any questions about the San Marcos meet up, PM me

I am probably all in... just starting to get some of the tweaks out of me from towel day ( towelday.org ) this year it was on memorial day... my foot slipped and I took a tumble down the stairs sprained both ankles and a wrist, knocked completely out on the landing, and smooshed my laptop... so now the sprains are pretty much done... sorry I have not been around more...

Seannon

any idea on what time/where yet?

Looks like I have another crossfire joining me coming down from Dallas.
John, it's a twin brother to Boy Blue.
Hal, you want to meet in Kyle or any other meeting place you recommend? Just tell us when and where.
We will drive down Saturday evening and stay in Austin over night. Looking forward to see you all again (actually should be packing, flying to Europe on the 15th for four weeks)... just, how can I say no to a GTG?

Any idea where you will be staying? The wife and I will also be staying overnight in Austin, would make things easy to be at the same starting point. We'll probably be around where 290, Mopac, and 35 are, North of UT. Still not sure exactly which hotel though...

Probably at a Motel 6 (I'm working for the company and get free nights). We'll be arriving in Austin early evening. Many Motel 6 to choose from down south. We can make a better plan by the end of the week.
