It's freakin HOT in Texas boys ! Officially in the city of Austin we set a new record for June 25 of 107 degrees at the airport, which is crazy cause I don't know anybody who lives at the airport (thanks George).
All the way home the Crossfire Outside Heat-O-Meter was reading between 107 and 112 and it ain't even summer yet !

 

Actually, Sunday was the first day of summer.

I see it this way, the heat makes a good excuse to enjoy (another) a cold one.

 

Darn sure was.....my bad !
I know the Metro-Plex is about the same as it is here and typically the hottest part of the year is August and September ! Geez, I just can't wait !

 

I think I rather have the rain we've been getting than that kind of heat.

 

They were saying on the news this morning that national weather forecasters are saying the present heat conditions are temporary and will not continue through the summer. Things are supposed to go to normal or slightly below average temperatures. We'll see!

 

Woo Hoo ! It's rainin in Austin Texas !!! Temperature ...a nice humid 75 degrees.

 

Here by the border the thermostat in my XF was reading 105 IN THE SHADE! (overhanging live oaks that provide shade all day long), and the temp of our 13K pool was 93 degrees. It was not fun sitting in what felt like bathwater with the sun baking the scalp.....I miss four seasons....

 

Yeh its so hot and humid that my overhead liner is losing its grip on the roof
Seem like im too busy fixin basic stuff, to even think about performance upgrades that I want to do...

 

Come on guys. This is TEXAS! We get to play golf in January!

 

No where near as hot as the summer of 98 but it's still damned HOT !!! Twenty plus days of 100+ days in Austin !

 

I will be fine.
Im just a little worried about my Black Beauty sittin out in the sun at work.
I probably should get a car cover.
I put up a window shade every day but maybe I should do more.
As I was saying the headliner is letting go from the roof.
Wonder if anyone knows a good shop they trust, to fix it here in Houston?
And should I use old material or change to a new color/material maybee....
Dont think these cars are happy with this climate......
But thank goodness for the excellent A/C they have....

 

Oh My Gosh!!!! It is HOT!!!

Just got back from washing my baby... it was drying before I could get the whole car rinsed... and I was in the shade.....

Now I'm all sweaty.... uh um I mean glistening.....

 

Who here can remember the summer of 1980? Over 100 days in a row of 100+F. I was out in the sun working construction that summer. I had a damn good tan that summer.

 

Anybody giving odds it rains all day Sept 26th?
