For the August GTG, I have planned out a cruise around Lake Worth and Eagle Mountain Lake. We will do a drive by (and I was thinking about taking pics in front) of my castle. Castleofheronbay.com - Castle of Heron Bay

Then we can end the cruise at Marina Del on Eagle Mountain Lake.

I'm not sure on the meeting place. I was thinking about Buffalo Wild Wings, however they do not open until 11am on Sunday's and we were thinking about meeting earlier in the day. So I will check out a new place and let you know.

Is everyone okay with meeting at 10am, before it gets real HOT?

That sounds great Char! I vote for a 10am start. Do you know if the Marina Del Restaurant is open? The marina got hit pretty hard by the storm in early June. But from what I've seen, it was just the boat slips that got damaged.

 

Yes it's still open. I had a nice chat with the bartender when I checked out the route. He is also a car enthusiast with a Honda S2000.

 

Cool. We have some friends that have a house down the road from the marina. Might have too pay them an overdue visit afterwards.

Since this is a morning GTG, would it make it easier for folks to make it if it were changed to Saturday, the 15th?

Just a thought for discussion.

Either way, Saturday or Sunday works for me just fine.

 

Saturday the 15th would be good for us, but don't change it just for us. Some others might have to work or have other plans. We can always join you at a later date.

 

unfortunately my car isn't allowed to join me freshman year

and I'm going to be in the foothills of the Ozarks in a cabin for 3 days for orientation

 

Wow, a weekend in the Ozarks. Sounds nice.

Saturday the 15th would work for me also. I would be missing church on the 16th but have already factored that in.

There would be fewer cars on the road (or in our way) Sunday morning. But, it doesn't matter to us.
