An eco-friendly RoadRally
Sure would like a nice drive in the country.....but it's so hot out there.....and gas isn't cheap.
I think I will enter the SCCA TableTop Rally! They have written a challenging set of routes using the Roads of Texas atlas by Mapsco, with all the usual rally puzzles, but I can do it all at my kitchen table.
And it's so easy to enter: just go to www.tinyurl.com/TT09msr, and register online. The cost is only $20 ($5 discount for SCCA members), but I had better hurry, registration closes at midnight on July 31. Then I'll have the entire month of August to work on it.
What's even more fun, is I can do the rally in my favorite fantasy rally car. Ferrari? Maserati? No, I think I will rally in my 1952 MGTD MKII....what's better than a classic British sports car!
I'll check the flyer at www.texasscca.org/TT09flyer.pdf for details. And I know if I have questions, I can contact rally@texasscca.org.

Stephen, this is a "virtual roadrally," that you run with roadrally rules, but without a car. You use the latest version of the Roads of Texas atlas from Mapsco to "follow" the route. We ask you some questions about things you pass, so we can tell if you followed the rules correctly, and followed the route we planned.
Go to tinyurl.com/TT09msr to sign up and pay the $20 fee. I'll send you the rules and the route instructions, and information on getting the atlas, if you don't have one.
There's still plenty of time, but your competition is already working on it, so don't delay!
