Default Houston Area GTG Saturday Aug 8th.

Thought I would give this a try and see what we can get going. I have an idea for this weekend. How about some of us meet at the Starbucks on Spring Cypress Rd and Champion Forest Drive around 3 PM on Saturday and head up to the Woodlands and stop off at Papa's Ice House for a few beers and a bite to eat. Afterwards, head back to Starbucks where there is a weekly Car Show displaying a few hundred classic cars. I am always amazed at the turnout and best of all it is free.

Let's see if we can get something going. Let me know if you are interested.

I don't mind doing either or both weekends. I will wait to see what kind of response I get and will post the results.

I don't think I will be going to SPI so I would be interested either weekend. It's good to see some Houston post. Let me know if it's a go. Just detailed the xfire today.

Let's do it next weekend then since only a few people responded. Come on Houston. We are the the 4th largest city in the nation. Surely we can get something going. August 15th. Meet at Starbucks, take a short ride to Papa's Ice House and back to Starbucks for the car show. For those of you in the Houston Area that have not attended the Nifty Fifties Car Show, you are missing something. There are always a few hundred classic cars and muscle cars there and tons of auto enthusiasts. Even with all of the classic cars, when I drive up in my CF, heads turn.

I will start the list:

1. Glenn aka Marine05
2. TX_xfire
3. houstoncrsfire

We will meet at 3 PM, Saturday, August 15th. Drive up to the Woodlands for a bite to eat and some refreshments and then head on back. This should be fun. It seems we are finally getting Houston going again. As the week progresses, I will keep adding names and we can PM one another for cell phone #'s and other info.

We should be able to attend, i just need to figure out where the Starbucks is, as I don't know the area very well. I'll talk to another couple of Xfire owners, and see if I can get them interested also.

Here I am and thanks for the invite. If I am in town tomorrow, I will join you (I may be in Waco, but nothing in concrete yet).

It has been awhile and it should be fun.

Thanks.

Miles

Hello Everyone,

Things are looking good for tomorrow. Miles may be joining us if he is not out of town. If here is anyone else out there, let me know. I think there are 25 or so Crossfire Owners in the Houston Area that are registered with this great forum.

We should have a good time tomorrow. For those who have not been to the car show here in Spring, I think you will be surprised. In the show itself are classic and muscle cars, but you will find all sorts of exotic cars parked around the perimeter.

See you tomorrow!!!

Glenn aka Marine05

If anyone needs any last minute directions, let me know. I will check the forum and emails one last time at 2PM today. The Starbucks is easier to get to. It is at 8715 Spring Cypress Rd. in the Kroger Shopping Center a little over 2 miles East of SH249 and 8 miles West of I45. I hope everyone shows. We will meet at Starbucks at 3 PM, wait around for a little while and head on up to the Woodlands area to Papa's Ice House at 314 Pruitt Rd, Spring. I believe it has a Spring address, but it is in The Woodlands area.

See you in about 3 hours!!
