Default Houston Area-October GTG

My how the weeks fly by. So Houston, what do we want to do this month and when? The only weekend day I am open this month is Sunday, October 25th.

We talked about possibly going to Kema or Galveston to a restaurant for lunch. Another option is the Renaissance Festival.

So, does the date and options look OK with everyone? If so, let me know you preference and we will get the planning going.

Regards,

Glenn

I'm up for a GTG. I would have to switch my day off to Sunday instead of Saturday but that shouldn't be a problem. I'm ok with either destination. My only request is to meet up after the Texans game or early enough to watch it somewhere.

Ok, we have 3 cars so far....Let's keep it going. Nathan, the Texan game starts at 12. Probably can't make it before. So everyone, so far it looks like Sunday 25th 3ish at the Boardwalk in Kemah.

Who else is coming?

Hi Ben,

Hope your Mom gets better soon. I know what it is like to have a close relative in the hospital for a long period of time.

We thought we would try something different and head South this time. Just let us know if you can make it.

We are down to 2 cars right now, so I will keep posting from time to time for the next 7 days or so.

The last time we went out to Huntsville we had 5 cars participate. Let's see if we can beat that number.

Any more takers?

Regards,

Glenn

Great everyone. Looks like we have 4 cars so far. I will check out some places over the weekend and post them here for everyone's review. I will also PM a few people in case they are not checking the forum. Hoping we can get over the 5 car mark this month.

Regards,

Glenn

OK Everyone. So right now we are down to 3 cars. Let's see how the rest of this week shapes up. I'd like to see us go out with at least 4 cars or more. I did some checking on-line and there are 10 restaurants on the boardwalk. To try and keep costs down, I am going to list the low cost options here. Let me know if you are definately coming and your preference. We will make the final determination on go or no go this Saturday.

Thanks,

Glenn

Restaurants:

Cadillac Bar-Mexican
Joes Crab Shack-Seafood
Saltgrass- Steak
Pizza Oven-Pizza, Salad, Sandwiches

That's great. We are back up to 4 cars, maybe 5 if Terry does not have to travel.

We were talking about 3ish this Sunday. 4ish would be better for me though. We will solidify time and place NLT this Saturday.

Glad you can make it !

Glenn,

I wish I could do the GTG with the team. But, I have a football game this week-end, so I won't be able to join you.

I really like the Kemah area.

Miles

I was able to get Sunday off so it's a go. My vote is for the Cadillac Bar. Do yall want to meet up somewhere like Almeda Mall (Macy's) and drive together or meet at the restaurant? Glenn if 4:00 is better for you I'm ok with that. ~ Nathon

How about we compromise and say 3:30. I can't make it any earlier. We got 1 vote for the Cadillac Bar so far. Whoever is going, please state your preference for restaurant and time.
