Default Houston Area-November GTG

Hello Houston,

I have what I think is a pretty good idea for this month's GTG. In involves driving of course, puzzles, prizes and ending with some drink and merriment. So what am I proposing? A Scavenger Hunt! Yes a Scavenger Hunt. I was thinking of putting this on Saturday, November 20th. I can organize this. My thought is that I would select about ten places to drive to and pick up the item at these places. Of course I can't participate since I will know all of the answers, but I will be driving around giving out hints. So it does not take forever, I was thinking of limiting the driving area to a relatively small area like Old Town Spring or the Woodlands Mall and Market Place area.

There is a catch though. Scavenger hunts are only fun if we can get several teams. So what do you think Houston? Can we get at least 6 cars? As soon as we agree to the date and concept, I will provide more specifics.

Let us know!

Glenn, great imagination, sounds like fun. BTW, thnx for the note on CTC GTG. Anytime you want to discuss Fredricksburg, PM me and we can go over the details.
Also, I was in Galveston Oct 21 and met a gent with a white roadster by the name of Robert Rivers. He is administrator of Galveston VA Clinic, and expressed a lot of interest ingetting with a group. I don't have any more info on him but gave hime a CICCI card and told him about you guys.
Have a fun run...

Glen,
I sorry I have to say it again. I can't make it. Flying out on business on the 15th for a week and then the weekend after, thanksgiving weekend we are visiting friends in Louisiana.
On another note, I started installing the L.E.D's last weekend but did not complete. My L.E.D. strips are very flexible BUT are a little too wide (3/8") to fit between the light glass edge and the rubber seal between the light and the body. Toyed with the idea of fitting along the top edge where there is more width, but didn't get as far as connecting them up. I did get around to fitting a replacement Fog Light though, and that was easy. I will keep you informed on my progress with the L.E.D's, but as I said' it will not be for at least 3 weeks until I get the time, BUSY, BUSY, BUSY at present.

SORRY Terry & Margaret Robinson

If there arn't enough people, an alternative would be to meet somewhere near downtown and drive to "The Spot" on the Galviston seawall for drinks and burgers. If it's a nice day, we could sit outside and watch the ocean and stuff. Maybe get some great pictures to.

Hello Everyone,

It appears that people are very busy this month. I would imagine it will be even more so next month. Let's take a break until after the holidays and start up again in January. Of course, if someone wants to get together for an impromptu meeting, (like The Beep) just let the rest of us know.

I live in Galveston and would be glad to meet at the SPOT. I have a ski trip planned early Dec. so if that doesn't conflict will be there if you-all are. KONJA

I'm always down for a drive to G-Town. What about the 2nd Saturday in December? That allows about 3 weeks to get some interest.

Yo Glenn, here's an info site on the Hill Country Wine Trail.
Texas Hill Country Wineries - Texas Wine Trail - T.A.S.T.E.
Lots to do, and Fredrickburg, if selected, should be checked ahead of time 'cause they are often overflowing. Many more rooms in 20 mile vicinity, or let me know what you're thinking and I'll see what the Visitors Center and COC has scheduled.
Good luck with your group.

Is there any beer in the area??? Wine screws me up. Very risky drinking wine and driving on hills.
