Here's a thought. Would it be cool to meet with the CTC group in La Grange? Wouldn't it be about an 80 mile drive from Houston, Austin, and San Antonio?
Just thinking out loud (well, not really out loud).
Not sure if Dallas is part of that group or not.

I believe Houston Cars & Coffee is that weekend in the Galleria weekend, near the McCormick and Shmicks off Westheimer. I think it would be pretty awesome if a bunch of crossfires rolled up there to hang out with some other pretty amazing cars.
Wish I could be back in Houston, just not quite there yet.

Maybe could do both. The weather is really starting to cooperate.
We can make the April 10th date, to wherever, but will be out of town for the cars and coffee, as it is the Friday before Easter
Can I throw in Kemah, for the April 10th GTG, if anyone is still interested on that date

My first choice would be a nice drive out of Houston traffic so meeting up with the CTC was an idea. If we want to stay local I'm ok with Kemah. I was there last weekend and had a blast. Plus you can get some great deals on seafood at the markets. I looked at Houston CitySearch and didn't see anything too interesting for April. There is a hot rod racing event at Houston Motorsports Park Houston Motorsports Park on the 17th. I haven't been there yet but I hear it is a lot of fun. Maybe you can take your new toy on the track Dave?
We should make a list for the Coffee & Cars closer to the 3rd. Hopefully we can be a little more organized and park together to show off our fine cars. I had no idea there would be so many people and cars.
If you haven't been to a GTG in awhile or are a 1st timer wash the car and join us. You will have a good time.

April 10th @ Kemah sounds perfect! I don't know if i'll be able to make houston coffee now that i think about it because Resurrection Feast is soon after. I'm almost positive I'll be there for the May meet though!

Our son will be in for the Easter break, so I promised to take him to Houston Cars & Coffee on the 3rd. I'm up for Kemah that day or on the 10th. Also up to meeting up with the CTC guys. Nathan, any luck getting in touch with Bill?

Another beautiful bluebonnet drive leads west from Brenham on U.S. Hwy 290 to Giddings (35 miles), south on U.S. Hwy 77 to LaGrange (20 miles), then north on TX 159 and 237, which will get you back to U.S. 290 in the city of Burton, about 15 miles west of Brenham. Brenham lies midway between Austin and Houston.

Nothing set in cement here, but it looks like the CTC group is leaning towards a cruise around the Breham area and winding up in La Grange.
Not sure about a date yet other than it's in April sometime.
It sounds like a visually stunning area and worth the drive besides meeting the CTC people which is really cool by it'self.
It probably wouldn't conflict with the "Coffee and Cars" which is only a 2 hour gig.
We could look at Kemah for another weekend or plan it for May. That deck at the Cadillac Bar was awesome!
Wadyathink?

I'm looking to see some responses about CTC and Houston meeting up for a GTG this April 11. I suggest you start a list on who is going.

Do we want to do this the Saturday the 10th or Sunday the 11th? This is what I put on the CTC post.
"Is April 10 or 11 to soon, how long will bluebonnets bloom? A number of people haven't gone on a GTG lately, some in a long while. I as well am not familiar with the area. Here are several bike tour maps of the La Grange Fayette County area that I assume one would be good for a Crossfire tour. I suggest we eat first. I would be in favor of the Lake Fayette Loop for photo ops and more socializing." All of the restaurants are open Saturday so we can choose from the list. I recommend the Bistro 108 on Sunday as it had good reviews and it is open for Sunday Brunch from 11 - 2.
