THE ORDER OF THE DAY FOR THE 10 SEPT CRUISE IS: Joe will be the point man as he is the only one that has not voiced an opinion about getting lost, therefore, Terry and I will be putting ourselves in your capable hands. Question as I see it, is NOT the 41 mile distance from the motel to Mesquite, rather it is the driving time. Where I live 41 miles is 30-35 minutes. Circumnavigating Dallas on a week day, early in the AM, will surely take more them 30 minutes.
Danny, you being the Man with the Plan, give us your educated guess on the driving time, so we can add another cushion to it.

John, I drive the route you'll be taking from Motel 6 to Dallas every morning and evening going to work & back. Only I'm going the opposite direction in the lighter side of traffic. I would plan on it taking an hour. That is if there are no accidents.

I made my reservations at Erics for Thurs nite thru Sat nite. Always a fun weekend in Texas. I am looking forward to the Fri. cruise more than the laps. Have done laps 3 times but never road around east Texas.
Danny, me and John are going to need good directions from Erics to the starting point on friday or we'll be driving around Fort Worth all day.
See you all in a couple of weeks.

WE will definitely be there as well Joe, so there will be FOUR of us getting lost. There was a chance that Eric may be going to the Friday Cruise??
If he can manage to join us, that would serve as a problem solver, but other than that, it will have to be a GOOD MAP.

Danny how far is it from your place to Motel 6? You were the best guide I foloowed in Waco from the Roadhouse to the Ranger Museum, except when you made a wrong left turn and I had to stop for gas. Four or five of us would make a nice mini convoy from Motel 6 to X on the map with you leading in the morning rush hour traffic. Do we have a democratic vote?
