Talking Ctc Gtg Ctc Gtg

HEY, HEY, HEY! How about somebody else coming up with an idea? I know the Running of the Crossfires took up a lot of attention, but there are still 3 Sundays left this month.
By happen-stance, the 29th is in the middle of a 3 day weekend.
Did I hear somebody say PICNIC before it gets too hot? Speak up.

How bout this, meet at the McDonalds in New Braunfels and take this :

1201 N Interstate 35, New Braunfels, TX 78130 to Luckenbach Texas - Google Maps

to Luckenbach and have a picnic or grab a burger whatever you like.... It would be a fun run.. Just an idea.
I don't know if Reeca and I will be able to attend, I am waiting on my top to get fixed

Sounds like a good fun run, thanks Paul. My only suggestion would be to have a back-up picnic area in the event the bikers have filled up Luckenback. There is a real nice clean rest stop a few miles back toward Johnson City with covered tables etc as an option. The LBJ National Park and Home is also in the area. Was free except for the tour bus.

More suggestions::::let's get some input. Too easy to sit home and say gee I shoulda, I coulda, we whoulda

This is country driving at it's best!!

Everybody is somebody in Luckenback, TX, pop 7

Paul,
What is wrong with your top, Back Window delaminating ?????
I spotted mine starting while I was at the "TMS running of the Crossfires" this last week. I would be interested if you resolve this problem, IF indeed that is your problem.

Yes, the window came loose on the top and sides and fell but it is still glued along the bottom. I'll let yall know how it turns out. I think Ron had this happen to his top but I don't know how he repaired it or of Chrysler gave him any help. My car is not in the shop right now so we might be able to come on the run, I would drop the top anyway.

Well Paul, it looks as though our members have lost interest completely so thanks for your input but I think I can find better things to do than try to try to entice a bunch of people with a sugar *** to come out and enjoy their cars. If anyone decides THEY want to set up a run, I'll consider attending, but won't know until the last minute.

Grrr.. its what I get for not keeping up with the boards.. I usually am able to check them every day or every other day.. but this week has been really hectic(just got back from California on Tuesday)... If I would have seen this sooner I would definitely would have been up for it..

With kids getting off of school soon and things hopefully settling down at work I should have a little more free time to go do a drive or two. I used to be part of another board(for BMWs up on the east coast) and they would have similar problems drumming up support for a drive or two until they started to religiously set aside at least one day a month(3rd Thursday night) or something like that.. Once they did that and snapped some pics of the meetings and a vid or two of some of the drives they did.. and people started coming in droves..

Oh and I'm available Sunday the 29th of this month.. and the 5th and 19th of next month to go on a little joy ride.. I did enjoy a run along River Rd that I took a few weekends ago, that's always a good time..

I don't think we can make it on the 29th as we'll most likely have to work that weekend.

John, there's a show n' shine at Culver's the 22nd and of course you (and everyone else!) is invited to attend. If interested, let me know and I'll be sure to get the details posted as I have missed the last two Friday meetings doing other fun stuff.

I will say this.... the 29th I have family visiting (That I need to babysit) so I can't get away for a long time. But if you guys are on 1376 and go through Luckenbach I will join you. I live in the area and I have been planning on meeting up for 3 years now.... it is about time I just do it.

Whatever you decide, throw me a PM. If you are in the Fredricksburg/Luchenbach/Comfort area let me know. I will meet up with you on your route and join in..... if the weather is nice

Hey Skip...

What time is the Culvers meet? I have some plans in the late afternoon/evening.. but could swing by earlier in the day. I actually work a couple of miles from Culvers so I know exactly where its at..

The show 'n shine runs from 10am to 3pm but there will be folks coming and going... not everyone will be (or is expected) to stay the whole time.

Come on down whenever you get a chance!

Due to lack of interest and/or response, I am withdrawing my suggestion for a picnic 29 May 2011.

Hey John,
I really understand how you feel, maybe we can put something together in June. I will be out of the country part of the month, I leave the 12th and should be back by the 25th but I will let you know. I would still like to run the River road I put up earlier. Bill didn't speak up, did you hear from him? I know he had a couple of surgeries and I hope he is well now.
By the way, the top for my garage Queen is still on back order

Yeah I headed out to Culvers this past weekend.. I was the only one there.. didn't seem like there was really anything going on.. I waited around from 11am until about 1:30pm. I would be up for something on the 29th since my previous plans really haven't materialized. Heck I'm off the 30th and the kids will be in school(built in sitter for the kids), I'd be up for something then too.. Was thinking of going toobing with the wife down the Comal(the Guadalupe is too low right now) on Monday but I'm flexible..

Paul I know you know how I feel, and I feel the same as you. 'nuff said. I will still do runs if able, but not going to set up any more.
I have a reunion in June and will be gone the 6th-16th. Hope you get your top soon. What does it cost to have one made?
I'll be looking for the RRR in June.

I've just been watching and waiting for other CTC members to step up to the plate and organize a GTG. There are 12 members on the roster.

It is your club. This is from the CTC membership guidelines. "As there are no club officers, all members have a say in where and when the next GTG will be. Any member can plan a GTG and start a participation list. If there is more than one venue suggested, the venue will be decided by a vote of the membership."

Xal, not sure what happened... maybe you came on Saturday? John and I were there at the Show 'n Shine with our "Patriotic Presentation" from about 10am 'till 2pm Sunday.
