John you are the best. Thank you for taking all of your time to organize the GTG.

Dan, I had not told Ashley about the sprint booster. She got in the car to run to the store and immediately came running in the house after her little trip to tell me that her car was much quicker and did not have that lag anymore. Then she asked me if you had put the sprint booster in her car. I just smiled. She sends a big thank to you.

I had a great time. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks 'danimal!' I really appreciate you installing the sprint booster. I won't be using mine like I know my dad uses his ...but it's definetely good for switching lanes quickly and the added boost of power off the line

Hope to see everyone at the next Florida GTG.

(quote) I guess I'm trying to figure out what it is that you are doing that is so much better and just what the advantages are.

The CTC has been around 7 months starting with 6 charter members from 3 cities in the central Texas area and has grown to 13 members from 6 cities. Our agenda is to socialize, show our cars, have fun and make friends. That is probably the standard for all clubs. We have a monthly GTG the 2nd Sunday of each month and depending on the weather and those who can, attend the locale Cruise-in the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. We also have non-members join our GTG's and Cruise-ins. We are looking to have a semi-annual or annual GTG with other Crossfire clubs in Texas. Some of our members will be attending the Tail of the Dragon next month.
I enjoy my Crossfire and look to spend as much time as I can with my Crossfire friends. Are we doing so much better, maybe or maybe not, not in competition with anyone, just doing the best we can. If I still lived in Ocala I would have attended the New Smyrna Beach GTG. I bought my Crossfire in 2005 in Ocala and GTG's were happening in the Orlando area. I was thinking that a club would be started by now. That is what I would have been looking for had I remained in Ocala, if not, I would have tried to establish one.

Sounds like we are doing the same things, and the fact that we just haven't 'named' ourselves is what's bothering you. I guess when you get to "Club" stage and start sponsoring events as such, then you are liable for damage/injuries and better have good insurance to protect yourselves, or at least bullet-proof release forms. I have belonged to clubs in the past and paid the dues required in order to cover the obvious liabilities and functions. I joined XFi and would probably join a local/state club as well, if one gets started. Just haven't seen the necessity.

The only thing that bothers me is heavy seas underway. I only asked is if a club was getting started in Florida. Our club has no dues, is not a business and everyone has car insurance. Crossfire clubs are popping up in several areas of the country. We all are having fun and it is nice being part of something that has a name, it shows unity. As owners of a unique car allows us to unite in some way or another, it being crossfireforum.org, XFI or state clubs, area clubs or no clubs. It is good to see that Crossfire owners from many areas of Florida had a good time in New Smyrna. I lived there before and loved it. If I ever get back that way in my Crossfire, I'll make it a point to be there when Crossfire owners from the central Florida area are having a GTG. I miss Florida! If you are out this way, club or no club you are welcome to join our CTC GTG's.

Ask Toy it is just the best part of trip. I don't remember the name but it is really good, you only got the steak last trip Randy should have stayed for the 80mph ride to the ice cream parlor after track time.

My SRT only goes 70 mph. That's my story and I am sticking to it Officer.

Although, if John decides to put another GTG in NS, I will make it a point to be there.

I'm here!!!!!

I'm not sure about the next GTG, but we do need to have one soon. It seems like lots of members have added a few "enhancements" to there rides so let me see what I can come up with that we could make good use of all this extra HP that's just begging to be let loose.

Speaking of GTG's, who from FL is going to the Dragon the end of Oct? I'm planning on make my thrid trip there to enjoy some cooler weather and wonderful color as fall approaches.

John that called redirection. lol. Good salesmanship.

It is tough to drive 25 plus hours for a weekend for me. The mud, dirt and rocks on the sides of the road scare me. I probably would have to buy new tires and then try and find an 06..Sr........ Never mind, don't go there

I would love to see the scenary up there in the fall. It has to be beautiful. If the opportunity to opens up for the wife and I can leave a day early, I might give it a go.

How far is the Dragon from Virgina Tech?
