Lightbulb Florida Crossfire Rally

Anyone interested in getting together for a 'Crossfire-n-Coffee' sort of meetup followed by a couple hundred mile group drive and finishing dinner? Perhaps put together something to benefit some sort of charity or whatever.

Share your thoughts and ideas!

It is very difficult trying to get people together. Not trying to be pessimistic. If you check out the southern or southeastern https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...splay.php?f=77 portion of the forum, that is where we posted info about GTG's. You will see a list of Florida members. Right around 90. A few no longer own XF's. John "The Toy" was able to put together 2 or 3 very successful GTG's in the Orlando area. We had 15 or 20 XF's show up. We did a little sight seeing and a little racing. Everyone had a great time. It takes a great amount of work and planning. Gator was trying to do a GTG, but the weather did not cooperate and it basically fell through.

I would try to be available. And depending on when, my daughter might be available. College and track season are her priority right now.

We are trying to get people together right now with SRTs to have their XF's tuned and dynoed. We need 2 or 3 more and it is difficult.

Good luck. Keep us posted on what you want to do. Racing seems to be rather popular to several members with SRT's. Something unique could spurn some interest for us and everyone else.

Let me get thru Christmas, or at least whats suppose to be the Christmas season and I'll see what we can do. What would everyone like to do? GTG's usually have to be on a Sat so that everyone can attend. We could maybe try to go back to Orlando Speedway for the start of there racing season like we did two years ago. That should be easy to set up.

Lunch and meet and greet at Bubulous BBQ, a drive to the track, do some parade laps and half time laps, watch some racing and then take a drive to Cow Licks for some ice cream. The hotel for anyone coming in from out of town is all set as well as all the other little things.

The New Smyrna track is nicer, ok, a lot nicer, but I was disappointed in the amount of track time we were given.

This is a quick suggestion to get this thread started. The season opens the first of March.

Who else has an idea?

Either track would be fun. Maybe Orlando Speedway would give some of us crazy racers a bit more time on the track if we asked or if we paid a fee for the privilege.

Anything I could do to help you, I'm in. Pick a date that is good for you and the rest of us will work around you. Either we can make it or we can't.

I don't see why we couldn't get 30 plus XF's. There seems to be more interest.

Are ther any car shows in the area?

A great way to meet fellow Xfire peeps indeed. Hopefully we get a good turnout. The one we had this past Summer turned out to be a few of us, possibly due to inclement weather, of course. So maybe this time we can get a bunch of us together in March.

I will formulate the list of those interested. If only Florida had mountains, the route would be so easy to determine. As much as I have gone joy riding around the state, you'd think this would be easy. LOL

Any suggestions on a route? I figure the destination would be like some of you suggested, a track of some sort. I figure Alligator Alley will need to be a part of this somehow..

Check this site out, it's a motorcycle site that has routes labeled Scenic, Curvy, and Twisty. Good source to find a route (or 2) for us to decide on

http://www.motorcycleroads.us/states/fl.html

I'm also down for going as long as it's a weekend. Also late february would be good since it still might be cold but the rains won't be
