Default XFire Owners GTG (NC/SC/GA) - SEP 11

Just this past weekend, Roberta & I took a drive up to Campbell's Covered Bridge in northern Greenville County. This is the lone remaining extant covered bridge in SC and listed on the National Registry of Historial Places. Site is now run by Greenville County Parks & Recreation Department and is open to visitors from dusk to dawn each day.

Then we drove over to Cleveland, SC area and visited the Victoria Valley Vineyards & Winery (our 1st visit). We enjoyed a simple wine tasting for $5.00 (6 wines) and had a great lunch sitting on their Terrace which overlooks a section of their vineyard which was recently re-planted with vines. (Note: We naturally bought several bottles of wine we liked!!)

So I thought I would start a thread here for a GTG of nearby XFire Owners for a great day of driving, photo shoots and wine tasting this coming September. On SEP 11 (Saturday) or SEP 12 (Sunday), we'll meet at a local spot in Greenville-Spartanburg area and set off on a day of Upstate SC driving enjoyment, photo shoots, some good food and wine and (most of all) just spending a GTG-day with friends and fellow XFire enthusiasts all the while making a spectacle of ourselves throughout the Upstate.

Keep checking this thread for updates.

Bump - This GTG is only a couple of weeks away. For those still "on the fence", mark your calendars and come along with the rest of us.

Considering using the Waffle House at the intersection of Hwys 14 & 29 in Greer as our starting point for this cruise. Time: Let's say 0930

Hi Dennis, I would love to join in the fun but the Gamecocks play Ga. at noon on that Saturday. Enjoy the drive and we will see all of you at the Dragon.

Probably going to postpone this event until after The Dragon Weekend. Roberta & I have some other home-based tasks that have surfaced that need to be addressed this weekend.

And my 07 XFire is starting to leak oil much more from the small breather sections on top of both valve covers. Looks like I'm going to do the Forum recommended repair either this weekend or next.

Stay in touch,
