We have 2 things going on this month. The first is a get together to drive on Saturday, Oct 9th. Starting point undetermined and suggestions are needed!

From I-65 or Hwy 20: Take I-565 to Huntsville, take Exit #3 to Greebrier. Turn left (north) at the light, then left again after crossing the overpass.

From I-565: Take I-565 until Exit #3 to Greebrier. See the sides on the side to ride where left crossing are seen.

Hi All No. Alabama Crossfire Club members! I think the date is wrong on the last post. The third weekend saturday is October 16th.
Hope to see more local's at the next meeting! Perhaps the Tennessee bunch will consider coming down for a visit. Lots of storys and pics to share from the recent Tail of the Dragon run. If we get it together quick maybe we can put a ride into the agenda! Any suggestions??

Oops! Thanks for noticing that mis-hap.

We didn't drive on Saturday, which turned out for the best. And I can't wait to hear storries/see pics about the Tail of the Dragon event!

After the meeting, why don't we take a drive along the south side of the TN River. We'll go down I-565 W to I-65 S, then at Decatur turn E. I'll try to have more info on Monday - but its hilly and wavey...I'll also look into some place closer...

Hey Guys, I dont have a crossfire YET (Will have sometime between now and February) but since I really havent spent all that much time up close with them and am already working on my mods list was wondering if I could join ya at Greenbriar on Saturday and check a few of them out?

I am not 100% sure I can work it in because we are supposed to be taking my little one off to a pumpkin patch but it may be doable...

Well I BELEIVE I am going to be able to work it out. Gonna do the family trip to the pumpkin patch first thing in the morning and SHOULD be done in time to meet ya at Greenbriar by noon.

I am not sure if I can make it to the get together, for this month is jam packed with wife's business events, but If you want to get closer to a modded SSB SRT6 then let me know and I can meet you out sometime. Cheers to all the local Crosses and good luck this weekend.

 

daniel454 jason has a really nice car! if you want to see the car that beats him at the track ill try to make an event!!

 

Well not seeing a huge turn out for the Greenbrier meet but regardless, if anyone does make it, it appears that my schedule is a lot more clear than originally thought and should have no issue seeing you there!

goodgenes79, I almost made it out to Steele a few weeks back when you went out. Tried to get a buddy of mine with a Stage 3 SRT-4 to come too but neither of us were able to work it in.

I dont know if I am intereted in seeing yours now though, not since it appears that 32krazy can whip it!


NAH, I would love a chance to see it so hopefully yes we can work something out. I live just south of Huntsville, just off 231. Can meet up petty much anywhere in North / Central Al fairly easily.

Steve, you better be pulling better times than you previously have at the track, if you are gonna make that claim. Plus it is not too hard to beat a broken AMG.

I apologize for missing another get-together but I had to get my brakes replaced. I had one day to do it, or have to wait another two months. Cheers to everyone that met and had a drive. I will make it one of these days, promise.

 

Well, we had a good meeting with 4.5 people and discussions about cars! The idea came up about going to a race track to do some of the speed racing with our group. And Daniel's shop. He's still looking for that car -but it'll be found!

(Maybe I'll sell him mine - 25K mi if he takes my 2 free greyhounds...? So I can move.)

Also, before our meeting I went to the Harley-Davidson shop just past the Greenbrier BBQ for some info. They said we can meet there for free in their meeting room, and on Saturday's they have cook-outs for charities. So we decided at the meeting that November's meeting will be at the Harley shop, just past the BBQ. See next month's notice for the directions/phone number/address if you cannot find it.
