Default Re painting car

I want to get my car painted because the hood, fenders and front bumper have a lot of rock chips in it. I tried using some touch up paint but it made it look worse because the paint is darker. Can anyone in the Houston area recommend a good shop to take it to?

I'm not in Texas anywhere, but I can tell you to expect a complete, quality paint job will run you at least $5,000. You'll probably see quotes up to $8,000.

You could try the new wrap for cars, not cheap but probably cheaper than a super paint job.

Make sure you get a GOOD paint job.
I've seen a couple of XFs that were repainted, and it showed.

Or take the $$ it would cost for a paint job and apply it towards your 2nd XF. Use the 1st one as yer beater car.

Noles,
I would also be interested in the responses to your post. I am also considering repainting. Repainting in any other color, too different from the original color, make the underhood area look strange. Also in response to the cost of repaint, I have seen some pretty good repaint jobs on Crossfires for about $1800. Just ask "Eeric" & "FTroopchief". Ask "FTroopchief" for a look at his Snow White, a cool paint job, in a Metalic White. This was tastefully done, as the original was Alabaster White. Everyone who sees his car, says it look CO>>>>>OL. Noles, if you find a GOOD Paint Shop in the Houston Area, drop me a PM or E-Mail and let me know, I would really be interested, we could maybe do a deal for 2 cars???.

An XF with a Rudy beast redo would be just fine on the street with that paint scheme. Just make them some big black stripes.

You better really know the painter for an $1,800 paint job. I work in the auto business, worked in auto paint for a long time - know lots of painters. I know very few who would even do a scuff and shoot for $1,800 (and do a good job).
