...Proudly flying the X-Fire flag in East Tennessee! Maybe we could get a drive-in together sometime in '06 - some great "twisty" roads up this way... or meet at Lane Motor Museum in Nashville or ?

I used to live in Tullahoma. I got my first in person look at the Crossfire at the Chrysler dealership there in town. We have friends in Tullahoma now, my job has me stuck in Alabama for now though.

I'm here too. Live in Lebanon, but work in Nashville. We should try to get together some weekend for a cruise.

Sounds good.

I need to find someplace I can open this thing up.

Obviously I want to avoid the police, but more importantly I want to avoid someone pulling out in front of me.

I'm considering Hwy 840 running East West way south of nashville.

You know any good spots to open up?

I went from 65S hit 840 and traveled back to 40E and ran 130 most of the way. 0 Cops and you can see miles down the road. A word of warning though the Crosswinds on 840 are fierce. By the way as a disclaimer for the folks who don't know about 840. It's one of our loops around nashville that was meant for 18 wheelers, but is hardly used by anyone. Open it up and have some fun. By the way when I said weekend cruise I didn't mean running triple digits with 3-4 crossfires. That would be too insane for me.

But I am open to do a cruise any time after the first weekend in January.

Lol. Nor did I...

However, I wouldn't be opposed to spotting for one another with cell phones on speaker.

Btw, are radar detectors illegal in Tennessee?

So long as you're not pulled over with one.

What color is yours? I just saw a black one at Baptist North Tower Parking lot.

What do you mean "So long as you're not pulled over with one"? I'm new to TN, so I don't know how its handled here.

I've only seen 2 others in the last couple weeks. One was the same color as mine (could have been you, for all I know) traveling E on I-24 just north of Bell Road (Hickory Hollow Mall Exit).

The other one was white, sitting in a driveway just off Harding Place between I-65 and Nolandsville Pike.
I almost dropped a note on the windshield with www.crossfire.forum.org on it. If I pass it again, I will.

Mine is Blue, as yours appears to be. I need to get more pictures, but this one was taken by the dealer.

I did hit Hwy 840 today with a friend. He drives an '87 Porsche...911, I think. He got a ticked a week ago and wasn't willing to open up. He did spot for me though. We couldn't find an area that was straight and long enough with out quickly coming to a curve or hill that could hide a speed trap. Also, traffic was a little heavier that I was comfortable with.

I only got the car up to 128 and I went from accelerating to breaking... I simply ran out of road.
My XF felt rock solid, but I was not able to cruise for any length of time.

There is always tomorrow. I know I can hit 140 without breaking a sweat.

TDog, Do you know of any raceways available in our area?
There is a small... 1/4 mile oval raceway at the state fair grounds. One of the fellows said I couldn't drive on it, but then smiled and said the gate is unlocked in the evening when no one is around.

Since we don't have a racing suspension, I don't want to really push the car into those curves.

I guess I want a 2-3 mile straight away... lol. I don't think there are any drag strips that long... but I'm not into racing either, so I don't know what I'm talking about.

It's possible that was mine. I was traveling 24 E 2 Fridays ago on December 8th at night. There are four giveaways on mine.

1. I have the Rear Fascia's on mine
2. My XFi Decal is located under my spoiler
3. I've got tinted window's
4. Taped to the inside of my back windshield there is a NSCC parking sticker.

In order to see all of these you've got to be close to my car.

I believe Radar Detectors are legal in Tennessee, but don't quote me on that. I don't use one, I've never found one that I thought didn't look tacky in the cockpit.

I wasn't close enough to notice. I did swing in behind you, but not too close. Traffic, etc...

I have found one other XF and the owner lives VERY near me.

There is a house 1/2 way to my work and he?/she parks the white XF in his yard/driveway.

I'll drop by one of these days and slide a business card under his/her wiper with www.crossfireforum.org on it.

Btw, 13Dog...

I'm typically off work on Monday/Tues. I also have my days free. Working nights/weekends these days.

I'm in Knoxville, there are a few Xfires in this area but I have yet to meet an owner other than the daughter of the dealer I got mine from who has a yellow convertible.

There was some mention a while back about putting together a Xfire get together to run the dragon (US129) and Cherohala Skyway in East TN sometime next year.

I live in Knoxville, just graduated from UT. I bought my '04 xFire last Thursday, and I'm definitely up for running the dragon sometime. I've only seen one other xfire in the area, and it is a white convertible. I gave the guy the courtesy honk the other day on the Pellissippi Pkwy, where I do most of my high end running to-and-from work. Btw, I'm almost 100% sure radar detectors are legal in TN, I've been pulled over with one on several occasions, in my 4Runner.

13Dog,

Hope your ok. A friend called saying they saw a XFire identical to mine on a wrecker in the area.

Only ones I know of are yours and mine. Hope it wasn't you either...

Let us know if you and your baby are ok.

I'm in Knoxville, I've got a Black '04 with the premium rims and black tinting. I'm not around town much though because I'm an over the road trucker. However, I'll be tearing up the streets this weekend as I'm going home for the Superbowl. I have not seen any other Xfires in Knoxville, but then again I'm not on the roads much around there.

I saw a black convertible in Alcoa last week and a black coupe a couple weeks ago @ The Pinnacle movie theater.
