alarm module on crossfire
thank you very much. thats the way i expect any1 to respond. and you are a nice guy. the kind i like to deal with.
and i think i have the answer to the 2nd question.
i guess it is the plug that connects the alarm to the computer. so i just need to find it.
thanks again.
feels good to deal with nice people.

Forget about the siren plug, what about removing the fuse or disconnecting the siren power source at a more accessible location?
who needs the dome light anyway.

Wow...some things never change.....search here search there...don’t ask a question....What I just read was just plain rude. Not everyone sets around their computer all day...hell some of us don’t work with computers at all for the most part. How about helping the guy find the info he needed? This was exactly why I walked away from here. You get chastised for asking a question. It has been explained numerous times. If someone is new here, they don’t know that nor do they know where to look. And this site has changed since I have been on here. I am still catching up. I really don’t like the new format. But I haven’t jumped on here and bitched about it. I appreciate the work done to have saved all the info about these cars. I do. Without the info it would be impossible to keep them running. But car guys talk cars. So talk where and how to find the info rather than chew their *** out for not looking first. Or what you will have is an information portal without any interaction about cars among us. And that interaction is why I left. It gets old very quickly. Glad you got help Phil. When my siren failed it went off in traffic, cleared cars out of my way until I could off the road and pull the fuse to kill it. If I would have had my reds and blues, I could have gotten home a lot faster. Mine has been off for several years now. Blue has yet to fail, but it will...ask me anything and if I can’t answer hopefully I can still remember the search feature...lol

Phil gets a lot of chafing from the 'regulars', and I don't think we should behave that way. He's a Crossfire member, and therefore one of the family. If anyone seeks to dump on an innocent inquiry, first answer the question, then say, "you could have searched for that, you dumb ***".
Can't we all get along? This is a forum (not yet) noted for dumping on innocent questions; I hope we can keep it that way...

master of the universe, thank you for your valuable advice. my request is this, as mentioned on post 1:
" if fails, can i just disconnect it?
if so, how? "
and that, my dear friend, is not explained anywhere else. no answers to this.
YOU NEED TO LEARN TO READ.
so, can you just answer my questions, which is all that i need? no lecturing, please.

you answered my question. great! thanks.
but you did it again. you are telling me what to do, based on your guess that i will keep doing it with everything else in the car. that is not what i asked.
and to buy a siren. how do you know that i need it? what if i live in a safe place? without it, i dont have to face the situation of having the battery dying unexpectedly and having to rush to disconnect the fuse.
now, the advice of doing some maintenance cleaning and so, is o k. that i can use.
see the difference? i hope we are understanding better each other.
and still you are not telling me how to disconnect it. by unplugging the connector? and if so, how can it be reached? where is it? pic?
and, is there another place where it is easier to reach for disconnecting the thing?
so, thanks for the right advice, and no thanks for the unsolicited.

1-i dont need it (i live in a safe place). and 2-i dont need to face the situation (that will happen unexpectedly) of having the alarm go wild. and i think that this has to be "car guys talk cars". just that. and manners. but am asking too much. human quality is a gift that those that dont have will never understand. God bless!

thanks for your understanding. takes courage to post things like this. but there are some that just are not nice, to say it politely, and will never understand. still i have to say that have learned a lot at these threads and want to thank all that have contributed. especially to those like you who understand that thing called 'human quality".
again, God bless.

Talk about beating something to death. It's a 1 hour job max and $150. All this talk and no action. You actually have to DO something to fix it, you can't talk or analyse something to fix it. My experience is most people learn by doing, not talking. Phil you could have driven your car to my house and I would fix it for you in the time spent "looking into this", keep looking, the story won't change. Now you are hearing some frustration from me. There should be a "mercy rule" on this forum.

i follow with interest whatever some post that brings input . and am not a moderator. so i dont have the power to moderate posts. but i have the power to put those that not only dont answer my questions but throw negative and disrespectful comments away with the magic button of " ignore". so whenever i post and get 1 of those i will add them to my list and will not be seeing whatever they post.
isnt it great? life is good! and am a happy man. enjoy!

For what it’s worth
if any of us find someone’s question(s) irritating. It would be easier to ignore them and go on to the next question. I did that with my sons. It avoided a lot of conflict when they were growing up.
There is a lot of great material on the forum. All members (old and new) just need to enter the inquiry into the search bar.
Here’s the fix for repeated questions. Stop replying (don’t comment, don’t offer advice) to a question that has been asked repeatedly, then the only option left for the individual who asked would be to dive in and look for the solution themselves.
Just a thought

OMG are we now going to be bombarded with questions about where the plug is?????
